Know exactly what you're waiting for. • Clearer waiting time — once your driver arrives, you'll see how much free waiting time is left, and then the per-minute rate before anything is charged. It shows on your Lock Screen too, so you don't have to open the app to check. • The waiting countdown now starts and resumes properly, including if you close the app and come back part-way through the wait. • "Log out all other devices" now really does sign out your other devices — and keeps you signed in on the one you're using. • Changing your password no longer signs you out. You stay signed in, and every other device is signed out instead. • Driver and profile photos load more reliably.

Your ride, right on the Lock Screen. • Live Activity — as soon as your driver is on the way, a live card appears on your Lock Screen (and in the Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro and later). See the countdown to arrival, the car and license plate to look for, and your pickup PIN at a glance — no need to unlock your phone or reopen the app. • The card keeps itself up to date as your driver gets closer, shows how far along their approach is, and clears itself when your trip ends. • Your pickup PIN disappears from the card the moment it's used. Also in this update: • Nearby drivers now show up reliably on the home map. • More accurate arrival times — the countdown now counts down to when your driver will actually arrive. • Fixed a case where a cancelled ride could stay on screen. • More dependable live updates during a trip.

Safety • Report an accident from the Safety menu, with photos. • Trusted contacts — choose who can follow your trips. They confirm with a code we send them. • Choose not to be matched with a particular driver again, and manage that list under Safety. Your trips • View and share a receipt for any completed trip. • Rate a trip or add a tip later from your trip history, if you skipped it at the time. • A clearer screen while your driver is on the way — your PIN, their car and plate, and how long they'll wait at pickup. Scheduled rides • Weekly repeating rides now work as expected. • Skip a single date without cancelling the whole series. • Schedule from 30 minutes ahead. Parcels • Every package size is now available, with the correct weight and size limits. Also fixed • You stay signed in for longer. • Cancelling now shows exactly what you'll be charged and why — including when it's free. • Messages that fail to send are marked, and you can resend them. • Trip times and dates display correctly in your own time zone. • Screens that can't load now say so and offer a retry, instead of looking empty.

New in 2.8 PAYMENTS • Adding a card now uses Stripe's secure payment sheet, with 3D Secure verification and card scanning — add a card with your camera instead of typing the number. • Tips that fail to process now tell you, instead of saying "tip sent". BOOKING • When you can't book yet, the Book button now says what's missing and takes you straight there — no more guessing why it's greyed out. • Fixed ride types showing as unavailable even when drivers were online. • Package delivery now shows an estimated fare before you send. • Fixed a crash that could happen when fare estimates failed to load. SIGNING IN • Returning riders are no longer asked to complete their profile again when signing in with a phone number, Google, or Apple. • Password requirements now match what our servers actually accept. • Signing out now fully ends your session on our servers. WALLET • Spending Summary now shows your real total and average instead of $0.00. • Your driver's rating no longer disappears during a trip. SAFETY • You can now stand down a triggered SOS alert with "I'm safe". NOTIFICATIONS • Your notifications no longer look empty after a brief connection problem, and new ones now appear without leaving the screen. SAVED PLACES • Favorite and Other addresses now save correctly, show the right name, and editing one no longer overwrites another.
