NDI ScreenCapture HX broadcasts your Mac's desktop or application windows over IP Video using the lower data rate NDI HX2 protocol which makes operation over WIFI smooth and with low latency.
You can select to either broadcast an entire screen, a single window of any application or a cropped region of interest, to any NDI HX2 compatible receiver. Note that when in cropped mode, select 1920 or 1280 from the size menu to resize the crop to an exact resolution, or drag the corner of the red crop window to resize manually.
The NDI HX2 stream is high quality, but with a manageable HX2 data rate, Selectable as 1280x720, 1920x1080 full HD or scaled to the window size, and runs at full frame rate for smooth display.
Audio is also supported. Visit the support site at http://sienna.tv/ndi for instructions on setting up your system sound to allow broadcasting of your computer's sound output (rather than a sound input device).
It also has a Full NDI to NDI HX conversion mode where it will allow you to create NDI HX streams for devices like Rode RodeCaster which specifically need NDI HX.
Note: Turn on the "Auto Refresh" checkbox to track window changes live - for example when taking an app fullscreen or starting a powerpoint presentation. Frame rate depends on source resolution, and image content, and will vary.
NB: This Screen Capture mode is not designed for streaming live video from screen captures at full frame rate for things like Video Gameplay. It is primarily designed for business presentations or sharing webpage content via NDI. However, the Full NDI to NDI HX mode *does* support full frame rate.
