I love this app on PC, but hadn’t used it in quite some time. After reinstalling, I learned that a mobile app had been made. I’ve only spent a few sessions with this version, but it seems similar to its predecessor: meditate to restore an island that is stuck. I do think I prefer the story and the flow of it a bit better from the pc version, but this is similar enough. I never really knew that it was made by a single person. I think the breathing guide should be brought back, as well as the “click” to acknowledge a thought - both helped me immensely early in my meditation journey. I have mixed feelings about the voice - I acknowledge it’s more my expectations from the pc app than any issues with the voice, but I do appreciate the toggle to turn it off. I’m sad I missed the kickstarter for this (I hadn’t used the previous app Inward as the registration put me off), but I’m glad it made its goal and I’m happy to see the app in the wild.

I personally had a meditation practice before finding this app, but I found the app helped me to maintain the practice (didn’t want to lose my forest’s growth, after all). Having the mobile version (rather than the Steam version) allows me to take this with me, wherever I choose to meditate. Whether you are new to meditation, or are looking for a gamified tool to continue your practice, PLAYNE can be very useful.

I’ve waited a long time for this game to be ported to mobile and it’s finally here! Since it’s so new I anticipate there being some bugs or things that aren’t exactly as they are on PC, but in my first meditation I had no issues to name. Can’t wait to continue growing along side Playne.

I purchased this app because I really wanted to try a different route for my meditation since I suffer from anxiety and I was thinking this game was going to be good for that “it’s supposed to be a meditation game” and I thought it was what I was looking for, so it turned out the game does not work properly once I launch it, the game freezes and doesn’t work like it’s supposed to. It’s just not working good. They need to update it or something.
