I love this game and I'm several hours in studying diligently little by little over the past couple weeks. I think I've been more comfortable being introduced to Japanese this way than straight studying Genki I, because it does feel like a game. One thing I wish would be improved was possibly more space to practice kanji writing. I feel like the line weight is too thick and I do try to to write them to help memorize the vocab :)

Fun learning experience

I absolutely love this game!! Japanese level is just right for me to handle and move forward. The puzzles are also super fun to solve!! Especially when you apply what you learned to solve the puzzles. I feel so accomplished playing and get addicted to unlock new lessons and cities. The drawing is also super cute😭😭😭 Can’t wait to see more content!!

Wagotabi gives you really comprehensive tools to practice your reading and listening comprehension, and is great for someone like me who isn’t quite confident to learn by stumbling through speaking with native speakers yet. And it’s FUN! I feel like a kid again playing pokèmon under the covers

The best Japanese game

I used Duolingo and Rosetta Stone to study Japanese and whilst both were really good, this game lets you immerse yourself in virtual Japan. It makes contextual sense and it’s also really fun! Definitely recommend it - surprised more people don’t know it. I want to give developers high fives cause they did absolutely phenomenal!
