For years I’ve been looking for (and gradually considering just making) a no-fuss app that stitches together short videos taken around the same place and time into one video that’s more convenient to watch and keeps all that metadata generally intact. Never found one that does it quite the way I want. This also isn’t that app, but the way it presents all those little videos as one “tape” is as if that app I want exists and was used to make the videos I’m watching here. It’s such a delight to watch a bunch of short phone videos this way, and of course the VHS presentation makes the experience even better than what I’d been wanting all this time. Such a fun experience on multiple levels. Thank you, stranger, for making not the app I’ve been looking for, but one that gives me what I’ve always wanted and more.

This is the coolest implementation of “memories” for videos I’ve ever seen. The ui design of the handwritten VHS tapes with unique label art, the old school tv view and navigation buttons, and the way it just instantly gathers and plays memories over the last 10 years of my iCloud Photo Library is crazy awesome. I also love the instant share as a video file while watching a clip. I purchased the app immediately to show my support for this developer! A couple things I wish it had to make it perfect (it’s already awesome but these would be incredible feature adds):- Audio while viewing from the tv/library screen. - An option to play content cropped through different aspect ratios like 1:1 and 4:3. - A nostalgia effect/filter that transforms your videos to styles like mini DV, hi8, vhs, webcam, etc. - An Apple TV app or support for airplay that’s not just screen mirroring. Or at least a rotate-able ui that would fit on a 16:9 tv when screen mirroring. - VHS tape load/unload and tape feed sound effects.- Fast forward and rewind sound/visual effects.I love my old mini dv and hi8 camcorders but they’re a pain to pull footage off of these days. Requiring me to use firewire on my old 2012 macbook lol. So having an ability to pick a style of tape and simulate its sound/visual effects would be just about the coolest thing ever. Nothing better than re-living some nostalgic memories through imperfect visuals. Modern phones record memories in a technically “perfect” way that feels so sterile. This app is a huge breath of fresh air that makes reliving memories fun again :)

Truly amazing app, I usually don't use more than once some apps I downloaded because thought it's cool, but I found myself going back and back to this app so many times, I love the way it plays some random video, and it gives such a memory vibe effect to it, everything so right, I like the shuffle option, I was surprised many many times when I was watching some videos from years ago that I forgot about, but the footage was so amazing, I was a fool to forget about those, but can't keep remembering it all.I appreciate making a shortcut for it too, I can start a shuffle cossette straight from a lock screen, good job man.I was using it for almost 2 months now, came back to thank you

Hi, since about 2 two weeks ago, I first discovered this app on a random when searching on the App Store to see if there is an app that would have similar VHS effects. However, I loved the concept of using the videos that were part of the years when the videos that were recorded, it is absolutely amazing. I also do love those glitchy VHS effects, when you press eject twice, and there’s no tape, and the TV is displaying different TV effects that reminds of VHS.Though this app is missing something, though I love it. I can’t complain.
