Extremely fun game but the energy system needs rethinking

I love the gameplay loop along with the unique art style and humor, I would happily spend some money on this game but first the energy system needs to be redone. Towers and adventure should not use the same energy and it’s hard to play this for more than an hour a day and until it’s fixed it’s not worth spending money on something you would get so little time out of. If I can play the game more that changes, incredible game just fix the energy please!

Potentials There, But Needs Some Quality of Life Enhancements

I’ve been playing this game a couple of weeks now, and was started as a minor issue became a complete bottleneck to progress. I’ve got my party up to level 50 however to advance them any further requires a substantial amount of both upgrade materials. Unfortunately, the amount of money and essence required to move them up, requires a game breaking amount of grinding to continue. Not to mention that you have to upgrade your heroes at the chapel with orbs that are not plentifully provided for anything besides the blue and lesser heroes.. Between these two issues, the grind becomes almost game breaking due to the fact that the level of my fighters doesn’t allow me to advance and yet I’m still only getting a tiny amount. Of money in essence per fight. Even automated it takes over a minute or two to get through a (best I can currently complete) battle which means accruing 125,000 gold and 3000 essence, and enough epic and legendary orbs is a monumental task.What I would recommend is either dropping the amount that is required of both items to upgrade, increasing the output for the levels so that it matches the pace for advancement, or providing better dungeons (not just towers) to acquire larger amounts of money and essence. The towers only half function to this end as they aren’t repeatable after you’ve beaten the tower itself. There isn’t a gold dungeon of any kind to quickly and easily far large sums of money.

Good game, but…

I really like this game at is core. However, as expected it has some pay walls. I’m actually ok with this. The devs need to make money to produce a decent game. I like supporting games that provide entertainment. But if you want to be free to play I think it would be a much tougher grind than expected. That’s not my gripe though. Pay walls are fine. But this game hits a resource wall that you can’t even pay your way through. At least not in a way I’ve figured out yet. I’m on world 10 “Northrunt” and I need gold to upgrade my characters. The amount of grinding is getting oppressive. You’re limited on how much gold you can buy with crystals (in game currency you can buy with real money) and even the packs you can buy in the store don’t have gold. I need 250k gold each to ascend my main characters at this point. It’s going to take me days of grinding and the grinding is time consuming even on auto with the 5x VIP pass speed multiplier. I want this game to stay interesting to me. I do like the game play and all the different elements. But getting stalled like this is making it hard to stay motivated. I’ve bought the vip pass, the milestone premium pass twice and some beginner packs. So probably around $40ish spent. Still going to take days of grinding at this level to progress just a little bit. I think they need to change this to keep more people engaged longer. Sell gold, or allow players to buy more than two small gold packs of 5k gold per day with crystals.

So much player turnover
The Real Knomie
As a guild leader I have closely watched the average quit point for many players. Once the players hit 25-27 they just call it quits. I spoke to a few and asked why and each had one common reason, money. You have a bad drop rate on legendary cards, getting the orbs to draw the cards are almost as bad, unless you purchase them. Then the fighters leveling up after 40 was achievable,but once you hit 50 for 5 fighters requires money. This was due to power limitations for world map, towers and titans for collecting so many materials needed. They called it the money wall.Personally I have spent about $40 and hit the wall at level 33. I have only collected enough materials for one fighter to break level 50 after a week of being stuck farming. So I can see why the players are leaving the game. *Developers free up resources or an only the high income players will be remain.
