Spherical pool now offers both Tourist perception and Native perception for seeing objects in the hemisphere centered on your head. The far hemisphere is shown only in Native perception, because Tourist perception would force you to look walleyed to focus on objects there. Hyperbolic pool continues to offer full support for both Tourist and Native Perception.

Left/right handedness selector moved to the top of the control panel, where it’s less easily overlooked.

– When you start a game, the app prompts you to walk to the center of your play area. – Multi-color lattices (optional).

– A lattice lets you see the curved 3D space that the 2D pool table sits in. – Choose between geometrically natural curved-space motions or the Keep Table Level option. – The starting instructions have been moved from the Control Panel into the Immersive Space itself. – The 8-ball never gets greyed, so you can always see it easily.

– Flexible virtual hands match the movements of your real hands. – To close the immersive space, you press the Digital Crown (no more need to raise your hand).

– By default lets you perceive true curved-space distances using your usual flat-space binocular vision. – Prevents visionOS 2 from interpreting palm-up as request for home button.

– Smoother cue stick animation, thanks to visionOS 2's 90 hertz hand tracking. – Optional Guardian Angel recognizes what shot you're attempting and removes some of your error, to make the game easier for beginners. – Distant objects in spherical space are easier on your eyes, because you never need to look walleyed.

– Immersive space appears only after you've tapped a Play button. – Protects against accidentally placing the cue ball when you first start a game.

– Shows where your hands are in the curved space. – Uses a half-length cue stick to help ensure that your Vision Pro sees your hands at all times. – For greater comfort, you may set the table to be higher than real-world pool tables. – No longer shows an empty table while the control panel is up.

An improved hand-placement algorithm better matches where you feel your physical hands to be with where you see the virtual cue stick. (Players upgrading from earlier versions should carefully read Tip for Beginners #2 for new advice on how to hold your hands while shooting.)

Added instructions for pausing and resuming a game

- Asks you to take a step backwards when you first launch the app. - Suggests a simple way to close the app.

The app now waits for visionOS to show its "Stay aware of your surroundings" warning before it shows its own control panel. This fixes a bug which prevented the immersive space from appearing while in Guest Mode (and possibly also in regular mode, if you'd never selected "Don't show again" in visionOS's "Stay aware…" warning).
