Route info has been rebuilt from the ground up. You now get more route stats, an interactive elevation profile that shows where you are on the line, avalanche forecasts for past, present and coming days, avalanche problems matched against aspect and elevation, plus nearby observations and alternative routes. Drawn routes and Skida Pro routes can now be downloaded for offline use. We also fixed hidden buttons, stopped the app from bouncing between routes, and cleaned up smaller layout, design and translation issues.

Around the lodge table tonight the talk drifts to something new. New on the map: observations! Enable them in Map Settings and watch the mountains come alive. Tap any photo to zoom in—because snow texture tells tales. We’ve added snow-surface details and avalanche danger signs to each observation. It’s now easy to spot where conditions are great—and where they’re not. Every community area shows the current avalanche warning level, with a direct link to the forecast—faster choices, safer tours. Add your own observations and help the whole crew travel smarter. Shared info = shared safety.

Canada, welcome to the skin track! Skida now serves Avalanche Forecasts, Toporama maps, and Slope Angle shading for Canadian terrain — so you can read the mountains before they read you. We’ve also opened Community Observations: share snow conditions, avalanche-relevant notes, and the small clues that make big decisions. A good tour photo is welcome too — stoke is part of the weather. And a tiny comfort after a long day: the selected area in Observations is now sticky, so Skida remembers where you last reported.

After a long skin-track in fickle reception, we found and fixed the gremlin that could log you out in Offline Mode when coverage was poor and the network slow. Steepness Maps now stretch across Austria and Finland, and Communities have opened up for more countries and regions, so it’s easier to share lines and local wisdom. We also tuned a handful of smaller details for a smoother ride. And thanks to sharp feedback from Dario in Milan, the Italian translation reads a little cleaner—like fresh corduroy at sunrise.

Tap the map to see point details – coordinates, elevation, slope aspect, angle and a quick weather peek – like a tiny mountain guide under your fingertip. Tap elsewhere to hide it. Share favorite spots as app links or URLs like https://app.skida.app/map/?pos=[longitude],[latitude]. We also fixed a small gap at the bottom of the route sheet.

We chased off a few gremlins from the mountain map: routes no longer disappear when you tap them, the bottom sheet is easier to drag, and the search bar stops jumping in your face. Less fuss, more pow turns.

Lately we’ve been working on making Skida feel even better to use. The map now behaves much nicer in fullscreen, so you can really immerse yourself in the terrain. We’ve added a new avalanche danger icon that shows the danger level at the center of the map when you zoom in, helping you read the conditions more quickly. We’ve improved how route info appears on the small card, made some tweaks to route details, and polished the UI. More improvements are on the way! On top of that, we’ve done a round of bug fixes and polish to keep everything running smoothly.

We’ve updated the map screen design for a better experience. The filter tab has been removed from the bottom navigation bar, and you can now filter the routes shown on the map. We've also added a steepness map for Canada, topo maps for Austria and Spain, and an orthophoto map for Austria.

Subscriptions in Settings redesigned for a single Premium plan. Added Manage subscription button—opens your device’s subscription settings. All legacy paywalls replaced with the new Premium paywall. Filters now list all areas (formerly guidebooks) and routes; opening a route without Premium shows the paywall.
