Remove unwanted people, objects, and text from your photos with a tap or by brushing over an area. Easy Photo Eraser & Retouch fills in the selected area to blend with the surrounding background.
Clean up travel photos, remove distracting clutter, or make small blemishes less noticeable with this iPhone photo editor. Want to change something instead? Use AI Replace to describe what you want in the selected area, or choose a preset such as "Blue sky" or "Brick wall".
■ Great for
- Removing tourists and passersby from travel photos
- Erasing power lines, trash, signs, and cars from landscapes
- Removing text, date stamps, and logos from photos and screenshots
- Cleaning up cables and clutter in product and room photos
- Making blemishes and acne less noticeable
■ Pick a photo and mark what to remove
1. Choose a photo from Photos, Files, or iCloud Drive
2. Tap or brush over what you want to remove
3. Tap "Erase" to remove the selected area and fill it in, then save your photo
Your original photo is never changed. Edits are saved as a new photo.
■ Features
◆ Tap to select people and objects
AI recognizes people and objects in your photo, and you select one with a tap. Switch between "Broad" and "Fine" selection.
◆ Brush for precise selection
Brush over small spots or thin wires with your finger. A magnified view shows where you are brushing. Use the Eraser tool to deselect areas you don't want to change. You can also expand, shrink, or invert the selection.
◆ Auto-select people, text, and barcodes
Detect and select the people, text, or barcodes in a photo. You can try automatic text detection for free, but saving a photo edited with it requires Pro. Brushing over text to erase it is free.
◆ Erase and fill the background
The selected area is removed and filled to match its surroundings, entirely on your iPhone.
◆ Replace selected areas with a text prompt
Generative AI changes the selected area based on the text you enter.
AI Replace requires an internet connection. The image data and instructions needed for the edit are sent to a server for processing.
◆ Compare and share your results
Hold "Compare" to view the original, or create a Before/After video to share on social media.
■ Free vs. Pro
The free version includes tap selection (Broad), brush selection, standard Erase, and saving in standard quality.
Pro adds:
- Unlimited "Fine" auto-select
(free version: once per photo)
- Automatic text detection
- Editing and saving in high quality
(standard: up to 1920 px on the long edge; high: up to 4032 px)
- No ads
Choose a weekly or yearly subscription, or a one-time purchase for lifetime access to Pro.
■ FAQ
Q. Can I remove text from photos for free?
A. Yes. Brush over the text and erase it. Saving a photo where text was selected with automatic detection requires Pro.
Q. What is the difference between "Erase" and "AI Replace"?
A. "Erase" removes the selected area and fills it from the surrounding background. It runs on your iPhone and needs no connection. "AI Replace" regenerates the selected area based on your text prompt and is processed online.
Q. Can I use AI Replace for free?
A. Yes. In the free version, you may need to view or watch an ad to use AI Replace. Availability depends on whether an ad is ready. Pro removes ads.
Q. Will the erased area look natural?
A. The background is filled based on surrounding patterns and textures. Results vary by photo and selection. For large areas, try the "Complete background" preset in AI Replace.
