I was super pleased to find an insaniquarium style game that tries to be unique in its gameplay features. I like that the game attempts to be different in many ways while honouring what made Insaniquarium such a good game. I see that the alternative gamemodes state “more coming soon”, but I primarily play this for the standard adventure mode, so I hope to see more content related to that going forward.

I was super excited for this because I LOVED the game it’s aspiring to be like, but a couple things need to be addressed or I won’t be playing it again - these issues GREATLY impact the playability and make for a frustrating experience. 1) Fish need to head for the piece of food closest to them instead of the first one you dropped. This causes lots of fish death, including carnivores when you buy fish for them. When you are constantly accidentally dropping food when grabbing coins (inevitably and often, basically nonstop) ALL of your fish swim to those pieces way on the opposite side of the tank or the bottom, taking up a bunch of time and meaning they often die before eating even when you have a ton of food dropped elsewhere for them. 2) Coin collection - the hit box for tapping the coin needs to be bigger and the coins need to more predictably drop straight down instead of bouncing around/going sideways, and they should drop much slower. It’s very difficult on mobile to tap directly on the coins, meaning more of the food dropping instead (see issue 1). Maybe the way they move would work on PC but def not mobile.

The game as a whole is quite fun and works as I would expect it to in all ways except one.. The fish seem to seek out food in the order of how it’s dispensed, the oldest food on screen being the only thing they seek out until they either get it or it fades out at the bottom… This causes quite a nuisance when you have a lot of fish dropping coins and I’m tapping/tap-dragging to collect coins and dropping food in the process and even if food is placed right next to a hungry fish it will stay on its path to a different one. The fish being able to simply seek out the food closest in proximity to it would make more sense instead of ignoring any other food while the one it’s focused on is still on screen.. even if it is on the opposite side of the tank and it dies before reaching it 🙄

I can tell this game is new(er) and it’s good that the developer is responding and actively updating.This is a perfect recreation of a nostalgic game I loved in the early 2000s. It’s nice to play it on a modern phone with touch capabilities.Main error I am experiencing is trying to share to a social media page to increase growth speed - the screen greys out and does nothing when I try to click one of those buttons.Overall a great game so far. Hopefully I can keep playing and enjoying if the developer keeps it going.
