As a content creator, and just a person who loves photos and keeping things organized, this is the best thing since ice cream was invented because I can categorize all my photos and screenshots without having to go nuts, trying to find them very, very, very useful tool highly recommendCan’t wait for an update for the video feature and then this app would be a freaking 10 out 10 for me

Best thing since ice cream?! I'm honestly speechless! Thank you for this amazing review - the video feature is coming and I can't wait to make this a 10/10 for you!
I don’t know why this app is here
Yellow blinds
I’m not sure I’ve had a disappointing experience with an app the way I have with this. I purchased this app last month, only for it to be a waste of my money. The app creators have ignored my initial complaint and no, I don’t need to hound service providers to ensure the service they advertised work. First of all, none of my articles I saved load despite setting the app’s reader as the default. 13 articles from 4 different unpaywalled websites. Not a single one saves with the extracted article: I do get a link intended to redirect me to the site I saved the article from, which defeats the purpose of me saving it in the first place. This is one of the issues I raised when I sent them an email. At that time, it was 2 websites and I specified them. The syncing feature takes forever, to the point where, I haven’t even bothered to check if I have everything on the same devices, especially if you consider the first two issues. Connected to the syncing feature is this: when you save in Safari, it doesn’t automatically move to the app. Secondly, the space dedicated to the reader is smaller than the capture area. There’s more space for the captured items and the reader has 1/4 of the screen real estate. No, beyond a certain point, you cannot adjust it. If you’re a reader and you’ve used other reading apps, you know you don’t dedicate more real estate to displaying captures at the expense of the reader. I would have loved nothing better than to quietly use the app I purchased and go about my merry way but alas, wishes aren’t horses. Perhaps, if I’d seen a review like this, I would have stayed away. Hopefully, this helps you make an informed decision.
Very good bookmark manager

This has the potential to be my preferred bookmark manager. There are a few annoyances I’d like to see resolved to put it firmly over the top.The UI is too “deep”, meaning it takes too long to get past the metadata to the content. Once I’ve drilled into a collection, I’d like to tap once to start reading, but instead I get the summary / caption screen and I have to tap again to get to the actual page. Related: it would be nice to have both “open link” AND “open in browser” in the context menu to bypass the reader entirely for sites I know to be badly behaved in the in-app browser / reader (which is usually fine, and I’d prefer to stay in-app when it works, and not have to drill all the way down when it doesn’t). I appreciate the configurability of the collection contents and captures views because I like lots of rows visible at once (so the “Compressed” view is great). I’d like to see that on the Collections view as well. I don’t care for the “3 item fan” icon, it’s not particularly useful and takes up way too much space. I only see 4 rows on my iPhone screen, and a truncated name and description in the tiny horizontal space allocated to them. I’d prefer being able to select an icon from one of the great open source icon collections out there so the “Compressed” row of the Collections view would have more room for item name and description. The “Compact” and “Compressed” rows could trade off 2 and 1 line descriptions to increase the number of collections on screen at once. Finally, when I installed the app on iPad after running on iPhone, it created a second “Uncategorised” collection, and new uncategorized captures on the iPhone go into one while captures on iPad go into the other (unless I tap the button that shows all collections and then guess which is which). Extremely minor quibble: let me edit the “Uncategorised” collection so I can use the American spelling of “Uncategorized” 😜. Apologies for the novel, but it’s an indication of how much I like the app that I took the time!
Amazing

This app is worth every penny you spend. It was already a very useful and beautiful app, but in recent updates, it has become much smoother and faster. Now, with the ability to categorize screenshots, and also the addition of the Mac version, I think everyone should have this app on their device.
Developer Response
Thank you so much, this genuinely made our day! We've put a lot of work into making each update feel faster and more polished, so hearing that it shows means everything. The screenshot categorization and Mac version are just the beginning, there's a lot more coming. Thanks for being along for the ride!
Hey there, fellow collector!
This update is all about the reading experience. We rebuilt how Trace extracts articles so you get the full story, cleanly formatted, every time you open a capture in the Reader.
What's new and improved:
• Smarter article extraction that captures the full article, subtitle, publish date, and image captions, even on tricky page layouts
• Sharper images in the Reader: Trace now picks the highest-quality version instead of a thumbnail
• Export any article as Markdown or PDF, right from the Reader
• A new "…" menu in the Reader that neatly groups sharing, exporting, and open options in one place
• Choose how each source opens (Reader, in-app browser, external browser, or its own app) and Trace remembers your choice
• A proper dark mode Reader, plus a warm new Ivory theme
• Spotted a badly extracted article? Report it in one tap and we will fix it
• Smoother performance and stability improvements throughout the app
