I had higher hopes for this app. In Adobe Acrobat there is a LAYER view that allows me to see the layers that make up the composite view of the PDF. I thought Nitro PDF had such a feature and that's why I WAS interested. Turns out it is in the Windows version only. In my opinion, that's the feature then seperates the men from the boys. Without that feature, this should $49 not $139 nearly. For that much money, I expect this function.

I purchased lifetime family pack. Upgraded app on one computer and will now not accept password. (Still works on one other computer using original password). Tried repeated password reset requests and never receive an email. Repeatedly attempted to contact customer service to no avail. Without login I can’t even post question or request help on Nitro support website or customer forum. Incredibly frustrating. Update: now has stopped working on other computer. Login fails. Password reset fails.

The ability to edit PDFs is fairly solid; I used it mostly to apply stamps. It’s not to Acrobat Pro levels. Wish it were less expensive.

I was and now still am using PDFPENPRO which I purchased in May 2021 for $182 dollars. It was a lifetime purchase for the family pack and can be installed on 5 computers. After Nitro acquired SmileOnMyMac and rebranded PDFPENPRO to NITRO PDF PRO, the Nitro PDF Classic one time purchase price is $270 for ONE computer. They don’t even offer a family pack and am afraid of what they would charge for a 5 computer one time license. AND that $270 is for Windows and not MAC. The registration one time price is unimaginable!! Shame on you SMILE for parting with PDFPENPRO…..
