Transcription Player is an audio player designed to support transcription work.
It is the Mac version of “Transcription Player,” which is also available for Windows.
It provides convenient playback features for transcription and proofreading, including keyboard shortcuts for Play/Stop, Fast Forward, and Rewind, as well as playback speed adjustment.
On macOS 26 or later, it also supports automatic transcription of audio files. You can review the transcript in timestamped segments and play the audio from the corresponding position.
It also includes features that make audio easier to hear, such as volume adjustment (Normalize and Auto-Maximize), mono output, and noise reduction.
With effects such as speed and pitch adjustment and an equalizer, the app can also be used as a regular music player.
