we do too… so we’re bringing it back
welcome to noplace !!!
SOME STUFF YOU CAN DO
— customize your profile: change your background colors, show off your best friends, share your relationship status, and more. express yourself however you want, we won’t judge
— add your faves: see what your bffs are up to, who’s their current top 8, which shows they’re binging, or whatever else they wanna share
— make new friends: it’s like an internet neighborhood where you can hang out and meet new people you like – all you have to do is be yourself (no clout chasers allowed !)
— plug your favorite music: show off your unique music taste and find new artists your friends are listening to *before* they take over the aux
— update your current vibe: share your mood, what you’re eating, gaming, streaming, reading, or that weird tiktok rabbit hole you've just crawled out of
on noplace, you can truly be yourself
no pressure, no judgement, just good times : )

hi can you please work on removing "boosting" numbers from the app so the number are NOT visible? or at least making it optional please? like customizing it so if some people dont wanna see the numbers? i am being actively harassed on the app. i have already muted the notifications but i am being triggered badly by seeing the numbers on my posts and my wife's posts. and i'm super uncomfortable. someone keeps boosting my posts and my wife's posts to certain symbolic numbers for like a year now and it's disgusting and i feel harassed. i have my wife customized as the ONLY person on my timeline and this person keeps boosting me and my wife's posts to certain symbolic numbers like "3" or other symbolic numbers to force me into polyamory when i'm not poly. so if you could please update the app to at least be able to have the option where people could turn off their boost NUMBERS that would be appreciated! on both sides (meaning i could turn my boost numbers off and i could turn whoever i add to my timeline boost number off as well) this person actively is harassing me and boosts other people's on the timeline to where other people have also noticed and are annoyed by it with many people posting "who is boosting ALL of my posts". i enjoy using this app and would appreciate if you could please help get this app updated to having the option to REMOVE boost NUMBERS from view, for yourself and whoever else i customize to add on my timeline. i've tried blocking and it's been a year so i figured maybe i can ask for your help on this. would appreciate the option to be able to not see boost numbers anymore. thanks so much!!

There’s a Problem…

Now to start off, I really like NoPlace. I thought this would be just another Wizz, Purp, etc copycat, but this app really is just fun to post about random stuff! I love the customization that’s present (and wouldn’t mind more options) and everyone’s profile is super unique. I like the idea of stars for your main topics, and how there’s hardly a group or fandom left out. I think for more engagement across people with the same stars, maybe an incorporation of forums for those topics can be considered, kinda like Amino but smaller. Overall if you like the ideas presented then you should totally download it. That being said, I have a HUGE problem. I exited out of the app earlier this week and tried to get back in one day after that, but I was presented with the account creation screen. I thought I could just enter my number and get back to my account, BUT whenever I put my number in, the app said that my account is no longer active, which makes no sense as I had never logged out or deleted my account. I don’t think that I had been reported since I last exited the app, and I don’t know how the reporting system works if I was reported in some way. I have sent 3 emails to the support team, but have heard nothing. I figured that if I can’t reach them through email then I might as well try all my outlets including this review. I’m really confused on why this has happened and don’t really know how to resolve the issue.
A lot of Potential!

I pre-registered for this app, so that can tell you a little bit of how excited I was. Well I think as of today (July 16th) it’s a pretty solid app FOR the socialization/customization aspects. However, some serious changes need to happen when it comes to the regulations. There is still no separation of minors/adults even when given the option of 18+ at the start of account creation. That seriously needs to be fixed. I have seen countless accounts with predatory behavior or just plain inappropriate content (of course reported). Although reporting doesn’t exactly feel like it does anything, I hope they’re listening. Bugs & crashes are still happening. Granted I know it’s still a very early app as of right now, but the dev team hasn’t really given us much to work with. There’s been no updates (as of today) on what users have been experiencing. All in all, I give a 4 star out of 5 because I REALLY want to see this app go far. IF the devs handle things, I see this becoming as popular as twitter or instagram even. It’s just so unique and really embraces the value of connecting with others.
MySpace Successor.

This app is really fun and takes me back. If MySpace stuck around and made an app it’d be this. But I digress. The app started out really buggy. Servers kept losing connection and it was hard to get anything done. But they’re clearly working on it because within an hour it was stable. I’ve made friends on here really quickly because we were able to relate to one another. The ability to customize your profile and add music, your interest, mood etc, is a plus. Gives you a better understanding of a person you’re talking too. There’s something therapeutic about boosting a status and receiving them. They have this thing called levels where you level up based on your activity. It’s a nice incentive to stay active and not to become a ghost user. I’m assuming when you reach certain levels you unlock more features or cosmetics. Sort of like being a VIP. Unfortunately some people have been trying to break the system by spam posting numbers and counting upward with each post. Which leads me to my next topic. Security. This place has a lack of security when it comes to restrictions and verification procedures. The app is 13+ so they are kids as young as 13 on here. But there’s NO separation between underage and of age. Right now everyone of age and underage are clashing. They have a feature where it ask you if you want to see 18+ stuff which you have no restrictions or tamed. But it doesn’t work because I have kids coming across my feed posting outlandish stuff thinking they’re grown. I don’t blame noplace that they have the ability to access this app that’s on their parents but if they’re going to allow a younger audience they need to be HEAVILY monitored and moderated. Overall the app is solid even in its early stage. I’m going to stick around and once they implement better security and features I’ll update this app to 5-stars hands down.
- bugfix for common crash
- noplace now works in the oven above 299f
