The app allows you to set the number of lines and line length for text files. For binary files you can set the exact size. You can also set the number of files.
The app can be used:
- to create auxiliary files with random data;
- to create test files for development, testing and research;
- to fill storages with random data (pre-sales preparation etc).
The data source for binary files is /dev/urandom. For text files, the source of random data is the native Swift function "randomElement()" from String.
Key app parameters:
- type of the file to be created is text or binary;
- text file size is specified by the number of lines (from 1 to 1000000) and line length (from 1 to 100000);
- binary file size can be set from 1 byte to 512 GiB;
- the number of created files can be set from 1 to 3000;
- can run in single-threaded (longer, consumes fewer resources) and multi-threaded mode (faster, but resource-intensive);
- doesn't use the Internet and therefore respects your privacy and security;
- doesn't collect your personal data;
- ad-free;
- lightweight, based on native technologies without third-party dependencies;
- has a simple, minimalist interface.
