One square is a slightly different shade. Tap it before the clock runs out. The grid grows, the colors get closer, and your eyes have to keep up.
One square does not match. Find it.
Tap Square is a pure test of color perception. A grid of squares fills the screen, every one of them the same shade — except one. Tap the odd one out and the next grid appears, a little harder than the last.
HOW IT WORKS
• Levels 1-10: a 2x2 grid, and the difference is easy to spot • Levels 11-20: 3x3 • Levels 21-30: 4x4 • Level 31 and beyond: 5x5, and the two shades keep creeping closer together
Deep into a run, the odd square sits a single step away from its neighbours. Screen brightness, glare and tired eyes all start to matter.
TWO WAYS TO PLAY
• Without Time — no clock, no pressure. Take as long as you need to be sure. One wrong tap ends the run. • With Time — five seconds per level. Answer fast and the time you did not use is added to your score. Hesitate and the run is over.
Each mode keeps its own best score, so there are two records to chase.
LIVES
You start with three lives. A wrong tap, or the clock running out, costs one of them. Out of lives? Watch a short video and get five more.

A new look and a handful of fixes.
• Redesigned interface. The start screen now has a clear layout, a stats card for your records, and a dark theme that lets the colors on the board do the talking.
• Each mode has its own color — green for the untimed run, amber for the timed one — and your best score is shown in the same color.
• The heads-up display while you play has been squared up: level and score side by side, timer below.
• The board is now perfectly square on every screen, from the smallest iPhone to a 13-inch iPad.
• Fixed: the bottom-right square could never be the odd one out. Every square on the board can now be the answer.
• Fixed: one of the three color families never appeared. The full palette is back.
• Fixed: the reward video could fail to load again after a network hiccup, and a single tap could sometimes trigger more than one video.
• Runs lighter. The board no longer rebuilds its layout on every frame.
• Unlimited lives.
