PoweReader is an RSS reader for iPhone and Mac with AI summaries, translation and audio: get through the news worth reading in minutes, get any article's key points in one tap, read foreign articles with a translation under each paragraph, and listen when you can't look at the screen. It works with your Feedbin, Miniflux, FreshRSS, NewsBlur, Tiny Tiny RSS or Fever account.
DAILY PICKS
No more scrolling through every feed: in a few minutes you know what has been happening. Open Discover and AI picks the stories worth reading, each with a summary, key developments, what each source says and the articles that cover it. You can also listen to it as a briefing.
AI SUMMARY
For an article you only want to skim, one tap gives you a summary with the key points in seconds, plus a picture that explains it. You can also summarize a category, a feed or the unread list. The list summary is split by topic, and you can tap any link to open the article.
AUDIO SUMMARY
When you can't look at the screen, let AI read the summary aloud. Playback starts a few seconds after you tap play.
TRANSLATION
Foreign articles are translated paragraph by paragraph, with the translation under each original paragraph. Choose cloud AI translation, Apple Translate or offline translation.
YOUR OWN AI SERVICE
With Premium, connect OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter or another compatible service and use your own API key for summaries, images and translation.
RSS SERVICES AND FEEDS
Sign in with Feedbin, NewsBlur, Miniflux, FreshRSS, Tiny Tiny RSS or any Fever API server, and unread and starred articles sync both ways. Or start right away with the built-in local account, no sign-up needed: the Feed Library has 130+ feeds by topic, or paste any feed address.
ICLOUD SYNC
Reading progress syncs between iPhone and Mac, so you pick up where you left off.
READING
The same reading typography on iPhone and Mac, code blocks and math formulas rendered properly, dark mode, and articles available offline.

Needs lots of improvement like going back to main menu from articles, ipad screen support, addition of integrations to inoreader and feedly which are the giants in this market… Really looking forward to what this app will become. The authors exact wish of why this app needs to exist is exactly my wish :)

I’d like to address some of the points you mentioned:1.Returning to the main menu: You can currently swipe from the edge of the screen to the right while in an article to go back. I hope this helps! If there’s anything more we can improve, please let me know.2.iPad support: It’s definitely on the roadmap, but since I currently don’t have access to an iPad, testing and optimizing for it might take some time. Once the resources are available, this will be a priority. Thank you for your patience.3.Inoreader and Feedly integration: Unfortunately, these platforms aren’t very developer-friendly at the moment and have quite a few restrictions for new integrations, likely because they also have their own apps. However, I’ll keep monitoring this and will look into it again in the future.Thank you again for your thoughtful suggestions and for using the app.

Translation Only
Turn on Show Translation Only in Settings to hide the original text when translating. Images and videos stay visible.
