One Step Behind From Perfection

I recently got Noteful and Notewise, cause my Goodnotes 5 is already outdated. I refuse a subscription and the one-purchase went times pricier than what Goodnotes 5 costed me. While Noteful has been a great replacement for Goodnotes, Notewise is incredible, although I've used it very very little. The one and only thing that has kept me from switching to Notewise and never looking back to the other apps, is the fact that it lacks Layers. Idk if it exists for the premium version, but since I haven't seen it, is the only thing that keeps me from moving into the app, but I've checked the other stuff and it's mind-blowing. I love all the features it has! Noteful feels primitive in comparison. Please, just add Layers and I won't doubt a second into moving to this app once and for all. It will literally be like the most perfect app ever.

I used Goodnotes for awhile but it has a weird glitch in dark mode. I found Notewise and never looked back. My favorite app by far. Absolutely perfect for my dark mode planner- I love the lock object feature- I haven’t seen that anywhere else. And the pen options and writing experience are excellent. With Notewise, my iPad and Apple Pencil- it’s a digital planner’s dream! Get it- it’s great!

Just okay, for the most part. I didn’t find anything truly amazing about this but also nothing horrible. It is somewhat decent, but not a particularly good app that I care to continue using.It is about average on performance and appearance, free from any glitches or gimmicks, and runs smoothly overall. On the other hand, I found that it a below average selection of tools and other note taking features. Could definitely stand for a few extra things on the tool bar that actually deliver decent results, just to make it stand out amongst all of the other (actually free) note taking apps. Overall, it is not bad for an app, but there isn’t much that really makes it unique, special, or great. Now, considering you have to fork over a few bucks to continue using the app beyond the free trial… I honestly wouldn’t say it’s good enough to do that. It’s definitely not worth paying for, considering that are way better apps out there that charge nothing.

Within 48 hours, I decided to switch to a different writing application and promptly submitted a subscription cancellation request. Regrettably, the request was denied. I removed the application from my devices and have not utilized it since, but I ended up paying for the subscription. I strongly advise prospective subscribers to carefully consider the application’s features and limitations before making a subscription decision.
