Postal addresses were once a strict function of location e.g. P O Box 111 London; P M B 222 Lagos; P O Box 333 Seattle, Washington DC etc. Then came the Internet and email, and people could now have whatever mailing address they choose irrespective of their location. Business, residential and other addresses have remained a strict function of location; e.g. 7 Yakubu Gowon Crescent, Asokoro, Abuja; 12 Croydon Road, S E 20, London etc.
Now with Pointograph you can give any place on earth any address you like irrespective of location, with same liberty of choice like email addresses. This solves a huge problem: many places involving up to half of the human population that could not have an address before now, can. Such places include slums in cities, many rural areas, newly developing parts of cities where streets have not been demarcated, construction sites in isolated places, forest or desert research sites, beach locations, specific spots on vast parking lots etc. Just take a Pointograph i.e. capture it on Pointograph, name it and that becomes the eddress (electronic address), save to "My Places" return to the spot anytime; or share and others can also find it easily or FOLLOW the eddress and network. So with Pointograph, users can:
CREATE A CUSTOM ADDRESS FOR ANY PLACE: take a Pointograph of any location, name it and thus give it an eddress of your choice, save, and return anytime. You can also share to enable others to find it or network and follow the eddress. You can create a "Places" library for places you don't go often or have not been before and would not want to struggle to find in the future e.g. a new piece of land you just bought; a rediscovered friend’s place; Grandma’s house back home; the traditional marriage or funeral venue in the village to guide your friends there etc. Just as you take a Photograph to remember a face; now take a Pointograph to remember a place and return with ease, or share and enable others to find it.
PRESENT CONTENT & NETWORK ON THE BASIS OF LOCATION: post documents, photos, short video clips and other content to specific locations on an online map. With the eddress for each location, your fans, members, stakeholders etc can network and follow any location (eddress)
PROFILE AND SHOWCASE YOUR LOCATIONS: Where are your branches, key clients you have served, your project sites, your impact points, upcoming event venues, league match venues, distributors locations, product and service outlets, music tour or speaking itinerary etc?
