Dark mode 40LOVE now follows your phone. When your phone goes dark in the evening, so does the app — easier on the eyes if you're checking a result in bed. Prefer to choose for yourself? Profile → the settings cog → Appearance, and pick Match phone, Always dark or Always light. CourtWire Tap the results strip on Home or Competitions to open your club's recent results in full, filtered by Today, This week, Last 2 weeks or Last month. Also in this release • Rules and format now open from the registration screen, so you can read them before you enter • Message your club on WhatsApp straight from its About page • Improvements to how the app updates itself, so fixes and new features arrive without you having to close and reopen it

• Fixed: WhatsApp messages wouldn't open on Android, so players couldn't contact each other to arrange matches. • If WhatsApp can't open, you're now offered in-app chat instead of a dead end. • Competitions can show an information note from your club — what to wear, refreshments, anything you need to know before you turn up. • Socials now show their start time, and the court names your club actually uses. • Club championships no longer show "Round Robin". • Fixed two notification types appearing without an icon.

The players list is much faster. Opening Players now loads your club in one go instead of trickling in, and it opens alphabetically. See your ranking as a graph. Your profile now charts how your club ranking has moved week by week. Join another club. Search for a club from your profile, or use a private club's code if they've given you one. Read the rules. Your league's rules are now a tap away, the same as ladders and tournaments. Apple Pay in the 40LOVE Store. Check out without typing card details. Courtside photos keep their shape. No more cropping everything square. Watch the training. A new link in your profile menu. 40love.co links now open straight in the app. Also fixed • Sorting players by skill now puts the strongest first in tennis, not last • Sorting by skill asks you to pick a sport first • League tables stay readable if you use larger text on your phone • Walkovers no longer show a scoreline that was never played • Your rating is now labelled WTN • Several Ladictions fixes, including leaderboards staying hidden until a tournament actually starts

You can now create a 40LOVE account from the app, and choose your club.

40LOVE has been rebuilt from the ground up. It's a proper app now — faster, and it works the way you'd expect a phone to work. Everything has come with you. Your leagues, matches, results and standings are all here, including competitions you played years ago. SIGNING IN FOR THE FIRST TIME Tap Create account and use the same email address your club has for you. That's what connects you to your record — a different address won't find it. You can also continue with Apple or Google if they're on that same address. WHAT'S NEW • Live standings that update as results come in • Message your opponent to arrange a match, without swapping numbers • Find members at your level who want a game • Club news and results in one place • Enter and pay for competitions where your club takes payments
