As part of the GrapeSEED program, the LittleSEED curriculum is specifically designed for preschool-aged children, aged 36-48 months, offering early advantages. Through engaging activities, your child will learn crucial sounds, vocabulary, and communicative expressions, fostering an enjoyable learning experience.
LittleSEED content is organized into 8 sets, forming an oral English Language Learner curriculum specifically tailored for children within a designated age group. Our innovative approach focuses on drawing children into learning through songs, play, and interaction, facilitating quicker English comprehension compared to traditional methods. By adhering to a natural language acquisition process, each stage of language development is introduced at the appropriate time, resulting in immediate success and reduced stress compared to grammar-based approaches. LittleSEED offers diverse teaching modalities, incorporating movements, songs, and reading to accommodate different learning styles and enhance enjoyment in learning.
Supported by comprehensive teacher materials, professional training, and ongoing support, LittleSEED ensures a robust teaching process. Various teaching components and tools enrich the learning experience, including:
• Home materials: Encouraging continued learning outside the classroom through printed materials like the Songbook or online content.
• Vocabulary Picture Cards: Nearly 250 flashcards aid comprehension by associating cartoon illustrations with vocabulary words.
• Character Stories & Ditties: Vibrantly designed characters teach English sounds through Phoneme Ditties and Character Stories.
• Big Book: Featuring 16 poems to introduce multi-letter phonogram sounds using large English text.
• Action Activities: Engaging activities teach vital instructions, commands, and action verbs.
• Songs: Fun and engaging songs teach vocabulary, language functions, and pronunciation.
