As a specialty coffee professional, I’m constantly looking for tools that complement both the precision and passion behind what we do. BeanBook completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I opened the app, I was impressed by its intuitive interface and delightful design language. The use of coffee-inspired visual metaphors is not just charming, it makes the experience feel tailored for people who truly love the craft. It’s clear that the creators understand both great UX and great specialty coffee.Functionally, the app strikes that rare balance: powerful yet simple. It helps me track beans, brew methods, roasts, and tasting notes with ease, and joy. It has become an integral part of my workflow, whether I’m dialing in a new single origin or curating a seasonal menu.Highly recommend BeanBook to any barista, roaster, or coffee enthusiast who values not just utility, but also a bit of magic in their tools.

Genuinely worth it

My trial is almost up and I’m subscribing. Why? Because this app genuinely does what I want it to as a casual enthusiast coffee snob without me needing to input every detail of every variable. And look, I’m not the biggest AI fan but the way it’s able to pull in the right info (most of the time) when I scan a bag is impressive. I also love that they have been active at listening to user feedback and implementing new features at a steady clip. Really like the customizable resting timers. And the recently launched brew calculator is perfect for quick reference when I make odd sized batches. As someone with 8 bags or so on rotation at any given point in time, this app gives me the simplest way to pick a brew in the morning without fuss. Lastly, appreciate the fun and playful design of the app. Keep it up devs!

As one of the two people behind BeanBook, reading this genuinely made my day. We built BeanBook because we wanted something that helped us enjoy coffee more without needing to log every tiny variable, so it’s awesome to hear that’s exactly how you’re using it.Good news: Brew Timer and Calculator is live now. And thanks for subscribing—it means a lot to a tiny team like ours. We’ve got plenty more brewing ☕️
Fantastic app

I am so glad I found this app. I'm a recent coffee devotee, and being able to keep track of my hits... and misses... is a huge help. Having so many recipes and various brewing styles is great, too, as I have 14 different brewers now (I am a bit obsessive about my hobbies), and having recipes, and videos for all of them is amazing! I even started using the AI feature for specific beans, asking for brew temperatures or grind size suggestions. I was quite sceptical of that particular feature, but I have to admit it's been right more often than not.

That’s amazing to hear! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. 14 brewers(I only got 10) is honestly impressive 😄 You’re definitely deep in the coffee rabbit hole now. That’s exactly the kind of journey we hoped BeanBook could help with.Happy to hear the AI suggestions have been useful. I was skeptical about that part too at first, so it means a lot that it’s actually helping with temperatures and grind ideas in real brewing situations. Thanks again for the support!
A coffee app feels magical & fun
The Coffee Stella
I’ve tried a bunch of ways to keep track of my beans—notes app, spreadsheets, and a physical notebook(cut the label off)—but nothing really stuck. BeanBook just gets it. It feels magical to snap a bag, saves all the details. The design is huge bonus, just simply fun & enjoyable to use, not boring numbersWhat I love most is how it helps me remember what worked and what didn’t for each coffee. No more guessing grind sizes or forgetting which beans I liked. If you’re into specialty coffee and want a simple, smart way to stay organized, this app is a no-brainer.

New
- Photo editor: Crop, brighten and straighten before the photo lands.
- Editing a batch: Tap any thumbnail to jump between photos — one Done saves them all.
- Photos you already saved can be edited too — Edit, in the photo viewer's menu.
- Custom brands get the full roaster treatment — name, website, country, city, Instagram, and a logo from the brand's own site.
Updated
- The photo menu reads better: "Add more" and "Set as cover".
- Edit or delete a custom brand right from the picker.
Fixes
- The gear model list and the custom brand editor scroll past their first screenful again.
- Searching for a gear shows every match, not just the first four.
- Finishing a photo edit hands straight to the name form — no flash of the gear grid.
- Naming a new gear, the photo shrinks and lifts aside as you scroll the matches, so no result hides behind it.
- Gear on your wish list greys out its purchase date. You haven't bought it yet.
- If the camera or photo library fails on a gear, you now hear about it.
