Mac

Fades the system volume, so it works with any sound — Spotify, YouTube, Netflix, Music. Then the Mac sleeps. No fumbling for the keyboard at 2 a.m. Fall asleep to your favorite show or playlist — your Mac will take care of the rest. Sleep Timer puts your Mac to sleep (or just dims the screen) after a countdown, at an exact time, or on a daily bedtime schedule. It lives quietly in your menu bar with a live countdown, and a minute before sleep it gently asks: extend, sleep now, or cancel? Pick the days A bedtime schedule can now run only on the days you choose — weekdays but not weekends, or just Sunday night. Unchecked days are skipped. Night remote ⌃⌥⌘S brings up a full-screen countdown in dark red: readable from across the room, and easy on eyes already adjusted to the dark. Space adds 15 minutes, S sleeps now, C cancels, Esc closes. It works from any app and fades away by itself after 10 seconds. ⌃⌥⌘↑ adds 15 minutes without opening anything at all. Type the time The timer field understands words now: "40 min", "23:30", "1.5 hours", "half an hour". On macOS 26 and later it also handles "in an hour and a half". One change worth knowing The scheduled time is now the moment your Mac falls asleep, not the moment the countdown starts. Sleep Fade gets its full length before that moment instead of being squeezed into the last minute.
