Version 3.0.0 is a full redesign: a menu bar agent, a new Today view with your day at a glance, an offline queue you can inspect, and Turkish and German interfaces. Worktivity Desktop records your work hours, activity level and app usage on your Mac, so nobody has to fill in a timesheet from memory. It is the desktop agent for Worktivity, so you need a Worktivity account that belongs to an organization to use it. What gets recorded is decided by your organization's settings, and the app shows you that list before your first shift starts. The app lives in the menu bar. A live counter next to the icon shows the time worked today, and you can clock in, clock out, take a break and resume work from the panel without opening the window. Track Clock in and out, start and end breaks, and see the time worked today against your daily target. If your organization turns on automatic clock in, the app starts the shift for you and says so on screen. Pick a work note when you are away from the keyboard but still working. Work notes are short labels your organization defines, such as "Call" or "Customer visit". While one is selected you always count as working and idle time is not detected. If your organization uses project management, your tasks are listed on this tab. You can create a task, edit its title, project, status, priority, due date and assignees, write comments, attach files up to 5 MB, and book time on a task while you work on it. Today One timeline for the day, from your first record to your last, colored by work, idle, break and the gaps in between. Under it: total work, how many breaks you took and how long they lasted, your longest uninterrupted stretch of focus, and the apps you used most today with the time spent in each. Full reports, history and team views live in the Worktivity web app, not in this agent. Queue Losing your connection does not stop tracking. Records stay on this Mac and upload by themselves once you are back online. This tab shows what is still waiting: the time, the app, the size of each record, and whether a screenshot is attached. Screenshot contents are deliberately not shown here, because the window sits on your desktop where other people can see it. Settings Your profile and role, switching between organizations if you belong to more than one, theme (system, light or dark), interface language (English, Turkish or German), and the live status of the permissions macOS requires. Before tracking starts The first time you clock in, the app lists what your organization will collect and waits for you to accept it. Depending on those settings the list can include the app you are using and its window title, the address of the open browser tab, your activity level, your idle time, and screenshots at a set interval, optionally blurred. Activity level means how many seconds of each minute had keyboard or mouse input. It does not record what you type. Screenshots are never taken while you are on a break. If your organization turns on timelapse videos, one is made from that day's screenshots at the end of the session. If it turns on hidden window mode, the app keeps running with its window out of sight, and the card says so before you accept. Nothing is collected before you accept. Worktivity Desktop needs Screen Recording and Accessibility permission from macOS. It walks you through both on first launch and shows whether each one is granted. It adds itself as a login item so it is ready when you sign in, and it keeps the Mac from going to sleep while you are clocked in. Who it is for People who work inside a Worktivity organization and want their hours recorded accurately, including the hours spent in meetings and on calls. Team leads and managers who need reliable numbers, with the reporting, productivity breakdowns and project budgets handled in the Worktivity web app. Requirements macOS 14 or later, and a Worktivity account in an organization. Updates are delivered through the Mac App Store.

Worktivity 3.0.0 is a complete redesign of the desktop agent. What's new - Redesigned interface: a new floating tab bar, a cleaner Today view, and full dark mode support. - Menu bar agent: start, pause and stop your timer without opening the window. - Work notes: pick what you are working on directly from the Track tab. - Turkish and German language support. Fixes - Break reminders now actually appear. Previously the app bounced in the Dock but no dialog was shown when the main window was closed or hidden. You can now answer from the window or the menu bar. - The offline queue no longer discards entries when the server is temporarily unavailable, so time recorded during maintenance is preserved. - The Today timeline no longer swaps the idle and break colors. - Tasks and work notes sections stay visible with guidance when they are empty or turned off, instead of disappearing. Please note - Break reminders: if you choose "Don't remind me", you will now be asked again after 15 minutes instead of being silenced for the rest of the session. - This version requires macOS 14 or later.
