Update

Updating my review after they fixed the app. After exploring around, it is a cool concept. But, it’s missing one of the major providers of electricity on the east coast, and has no way to dismiss that on the dash board or manually set the rate. The dashboard is too busy and needs filtering for the features that aren’t usable in these locations.

The device itself is top notch though, 5 stars on that!

Thanks for the feedback! We have added custom utility rates to make this easy. No matter what utility rate your have (or utility) you can setup a rate and start doing cost tracking. If you are still having issue please shake your phone and leave a bug report and we will get it fixed for you right away! Thanks for your patience as we continue to upgrade the app everyday.

Smart Splitter is a must have for multi-EV households

We have a Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, and Chevrolet Volt, and are able to successfully manage all three of our cars using a single 240V/50A line in our garage thanks to the NeoCharge smart splitter. Granted, we can only have two of them plugged in at a time, but for normal daily use, our Teslas don’t really need to be topped off every single day, so alternating them one day after the other is more or less good enough.

When we bought the splitter, the app wasn’t out yet, so although the app is not a necessity to use the splitter, it does enhance it quite a bit and gives you access to useful data. The NeoCharge team is continually updating the app and bringing new features to it. I also appreciate that they ask for user feedback and incorporate the feedback into their design process. They have a bright future as a young startup. The smart splitter works EXACTLY as designed, and the app is still in pretty early stages at this point, but it’s doing everything it’s advertised to do so far, and I’m excited to see where they take it further down the road.

We have a Volvo XC-60 T8 Plugin Hybrid and a Polestar 2. The Volvo had direct support in the NeoCharge app, but the Polestar is not yet supported. Don’t let that stop you. Most modern native EV apps will give you the scheduling you need (which the Polestar has.) The NeoCharge has worked flawlessly allowing both of us to plug in simultaneously, splitting one NEMA 14-50 into two for each car. But this app makes the plug even better. It’s a fantastic interface that actually allows you to track your energy usage for each car separately in kWh, and, by entering your utility company info, your actual dollar cost for each car over time. Their support is fantastic. I’ve msg’d the developer a couple of times and got a quick response (once at a ridiculously late time! Thanks!) They have been actively updating and improving the functionality of the app. Great company. Beautiful app. Nice people. Looking forward to integrated Polestar support someday, but honestly, it’s not all that necessary if your car is not listed. This is still quite valuable, especially for the two-EV family. Highly recommended
