Paste the whole list. School sends the week's spellings as a message, so paste the lot into the box under the words and they all go in at once. Numbering falls away, repeats are skipped, and any word the curriculum already knows arrives with its example sentence written. Adding them one at a time still works exactly as before. What's new keeps its history. This card now holds every version back to 2.0, so an update you skipped is still here to read.

A few parts of 2.0 that did not get a mention at the time, and one fix. Typing in the weekly list. The screen where a parent enters homework is rebuilt: the tests down one side, that test's words beside them, and a box under the list that takes a word per return without leaving the screen. Example sentences are filled in from the app's own curriculum word lists, and written for the rest by Apple Intelligence on devices that support it. A child picks the list to practise. The date at the top of their screen opens their own tests, so going back over last week's words is their choice, with no parent check in the way. Easier to read. The smaller text sizes are larger than they were, and the grey used for second lines now has proper contrast in both the dark and the light look. The privacy policy and terms links inside the app now point at their new home.

Version 2.0 is a rebuild of the app around the way a family actually uses it. Now on iPhone. The whole app in a pocket, with a keyboard that runs edge to edge. Share with the family. The other parent sees and manages every child from their own device, and a child can have the app on their own iPad or iPhone with just their spellings on it. Day streaks. Practise every day to build a streak, and hold a freeze for the day that gets missed. Gems and rewards. A perfect test earns gems to spend on streak freezes, rare avatars and keyboard colours. Progress for each child. This week against last, the words to watch, and every test they have taken, exportable as a PDF. A dashboard for the family. Every child at a glance: the week's practice, tests and accuracy, all on one screen. Explore the curriculum. Word lists for six curricula, read aloud in the right accent, for practice beyond the weekly test. Reminders. A nudge to keep the streak going, a note the evening before a test, and a Sunday summary for parents. A parent PIN. Parent screens behind a PIN, with Face ID or Touch ID for a quick way in. Sounds and haptics. A chime for a word spelt right, a fanfare for a perfect test, and a tap on every key. Keyboard cases. An iPad keyboard case types spellings just like the on screen keys. Two things that are not features. There is no analytics or tracking of any kind in this version, and a child is never asked to upgrade to Premium. Everything from the old version carries over: children, tests, words, scores and history.
