Features:
• Guided Setup Wizard: A short walkthrough on first launch gets your reminders, break behavior, and sound exactly how you want them. Reopen it any time from the menu bar.
• 20-20-20 Reminder: Regularly reminds you to take breaks following the 20-20-20 rule for eye health.
• Straight Into the Break: Breaks start and end the moment they should - no lead-in delay, no waiting around after the 20 seconds are up. Prefer a gentler rhythm? Turn the "Get ready" countdown and "Well done" message back on.
• Customizable Notifications: Set reminders at intervals that fit your schedule (every 20, 25, or 30 minutes), or switch them off when you need silence.
• Background Dimming: Optionally dims the screen when notifications appear to help you focus on taking a break.
• Sound Notifications: Plays a sound when reminders appear (if enabled).
• Notification Volume Control: Adjust the volume of notification sounds to your preference.
• Inactivity-Based Auto-Disable: Automatically disables reminders after a user-defined period of inactivity (e.g. when you step away from the computer).
• Scheduled Active Hours: Set the app to only operate within specific hours of the day (e.g. 8 AM to 10 PM).
• Dismissal Control: Option to disable dismissal of notifications (removes close button and Escape key behavior) for a more focused break.
• Sleep & Monitor-Aware: Automatically disables reminders when the computer sleeps or when the monitor is closed/off.
• Media-Aware Pause: Automatically pauses reminders while you're watching videos or playing media, so breaks never interrupt your content.

• Snooze Mode: Postpone reminders for 1, 3, 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours during meetings or periods of focused work.
• Quick Access Menu: Access all features conveniently from the macOS menu bar.

Doesn't allow you to adjust settings. Application runs only in background. Can't drag app to trash because it's always running and can't quit it because it doesn't appear in the Force Quit menu. No documentation in the package to help you either. To uninstall, open activity monitor and then scroll to find the icon. You can't search by name because it's unnamed in Activity Monitor. Or better yet, don't install it at all.
Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the confusion. The application is designed to run in the background, and its icon should appear in the status bar at the top of your screen. From there, you can access the app’s settings or quit it via the icon’s menu. If the icon seems to be missing, it may be hidden behind other app icons, which can happen when many icons are present. This is why we include a notification when the app starts to let you know it’s running.Regarding the uninstallation process, the app can be safely quit from its status bar menu, allowing it to be dragged to the trash as usual. We appreciate your feedback about the documentation and will work on improving clarity for future users.Thank you for giving our app a try!
best eye-protection software for Mac
Alireza Elliyin
This is the best eye-protection software for Mac. You can really feel that something like this was missing on macOS.I hope the developers can release versions for iPhone and iPad as well.
Developer Response
Thank you - this made our day. iPhone and iPad are something we're looking at, though iOS makes it genuinely hard: apps aren't allowed to take over the screen the way the Mac version does, and there's no way to know when you're actually using the device, so a reminder can't reliably land at the right moment. We're still figuring out what a version worth shipping would look like. If you have thoughts, we'd love to hear them: support@comnet.co.il
The countdown voice now matches the on-screen timer second for second, and skips the intro when 'Get ready' messages are turned off.
