I use several of Topaz Labs products on my PC. Now I can have access to many of the features for my mobile photography. I am simply stunned by the big difference it makes. Reducing overall noise, bringing out subtle details and overall clarity. It also does a wonderful job of upscaling the photos. After all, a mobile devices camera does a decent job and this product makes the photos so much better. Check out their other products for PC/Mac. You will be amazed!

Just sort the reviews by recent to see how it really is now…Gigapixel for iphone was near perfect. It did one thing really really really well and other things pretty good. Speed was totally acceptable and image quality was superb. Now it’s been re-launched and it’s a big miss. The one thing it was best at (and best known for) is now straight up gone with a lesser option sort of still present, but way less useful. My “standard” subscription is now “cloud lite”, and every single step takes 10x longer. Uploading a 500kb file? 15-20 seconds. Waiting to process, waiting to view what was processed, waiting to download. And it went from png perfect quality download to compressed jpegs. The only control you needed was for redefine - keeping everything at low gave you the best straight up enlargement and slight sharpness you’d be likely to find anywhere. That control is gone - that model is gone. There’s more 99% useless gimmicks that you’ll maybe try once, and the base, the core function you’d come to love (and depend on) has been stripped away. What’s autopilot doing? Zero control. Unpredictable results. 4x as many taps to get something done. A waiting time so unpredictable that I can’t count on it and just didn’t use it today. Why apps that are just about the gold standard go and mess with perfection is totally beyond me. Now you’ve got a library of images that don’t want to delete - or if you delete them in one place they’re still buried in another. No one’s looking for lightroom on their phone - it was perfect at what it did. And most importantly, 100% reliable and dependable. Now I get no-control results that are obvious ai, wait times that range from minutes to an hour, compressed results, and less basic control. I’m sure what made it great is still inside there…somewhere…but now it’s overly complicated trying to be simple but wound up stripping what made it work.

The biggest disappointment with most editors including this one is how flat images can look afterwards the brightness and HDR is gone. Too bad we can’t keep the brightness of HDR. Some images look too flat to use afterwards. I’ve also noticed this app destroys numbers and letters in your city scenes / signs etc. different settings other than default change the results but the result is still unreadable except for larger signs and numbers. The A.I. needs to improve in this aspect. Note: the PC software does not have this issue, it’s just the Cloud processing. When it comes to really low Rez photos of people I have gotten much better results using the PC version and not using the cloud. Probably due to more adjustments.

Apple and topaz Studios are leaving an inferior product on the App Store that doesn’t even work on purpose. I signed up for the premium subscription and instead of having the best experience it seemed to have broken my app because it hasn’t worked ever since. And be wary if you request a refund to Apple, but you aren’t very nice about it and hurt their egos. They will deny your refund and steal your money even though this app’s premium subscription does not work it breaks your app instead. It’s surprising to see Apple and Topaz Studios not addressing this because $50 for a month is incredibly expensive. The standard subscription is the only thing that might work and I wouldn’t even recommend doing that considering how terrible apples customer service is.
