A must-have if addicted to your phone and playing a cat and mouse game with yourself of unblocking, blocking, trying to get around the blocking, etc. This is the first app that helped me break free of that ugly struggle. I’m so grateful for this app, and that there’s no immediate/ intuitive way to get rid of the blocking with a very tempting button. Also, the fact that it works on both private browsing and general is useful (other redirecting apps tend to not to work on incognito mode). The timer makes me want to complete the session, and the ability to block for 23 hours and 59 minutes each day makes it an active, intentional choice to reclaim my day as my own. Everyday, I choose to set the timer and be the kind of person who does not scroll mindlessly, and intentionally making this choice each day reminds me of why i’m doing this. Thank you to the developers!

I’m spending too much time hovering in Instagram, and realize it recently. Used Screen Time which is already provided on Apple devices, but I kept unlocking the limits and continued using my phone 😂 This doesn’t give me any chance to revert my choice. Seems it also blocks the app deletion during the time? Like it!Hope they develop more features that allows me to lock apps at a specified time. Cheers!

The Detox Lock app has been very helpful to me, but the scheduled lock times don’t reset automatically when you move across time zones. For example, I live in California, and when I travel to New York (three hours’ time difference), the scheduled lock times stay on California time. I travel a lot on business across the U.S., so this is a challenge for me. Otherwise, I highly recommend the Detox Lock app to help end distraction and procrastination.
