Letterboxd has been an abomination of a movie review app and i’m so glad there’s finally something that’s blowing it out of the water. The ability to import your movies from letterboxd is also genius. I love the comparison system and the algorithm for recs is unmatched. Finally i can build my repository of movie reviews flawlessly while seeing what my friends think as well. Screen time about to go up! P.S. the theatre masks as emojis is genius whoever came up with that should get a raise 🎭

I don’t watch a ton of movies, but it’s a good app and a great concept (add tv shows!!). The UI could improve by being more user friendly. The posts are really big, I often have to scroll to see entire reviews and I don’t like that I have to click into a review to read the comments. Making the movie cover the first picture on a review instead of a tiny picture in the corner would help clean up the look. Even with all these suggestions it’s still a great app and with some minor tweaks it will make it that much better.

This definitely has done for movies what Beli did for restaurants - so much easier to see what your friends are watching, what they think, and what they recommend. I’ve found Letterboxd impossible to be a truly social platform, it feels more like my journal for movies. this couldn’t be less true for flick, which is social through and through! The best
