Check if you are online directly from the menu bar. The menu bar icon turns red when you are offline, and the app can optionally show a notification. Unlike just checking if Wi-Fi is connected, the app verifies actual internet connectivity through network tests. The history screen lets you track your internet stability throughout the day. You can configure it to run a shortcut from the Shortcuts app on online/offline changes. It also includes an action for the Shortcuts app, enabling additional automation possibilities.
