SnapHatch is one of the best ideas I have seen in a while!! It will tell you the perfect fly to tie on from a quick picture of some bugs. I have used it a handful of times and ever since I have caught more fish than ever before. The interface is seamless and easy to use. I have told everyone I know about this that’s how awesome it is!

Our goal is to provide anglers with a tool that allows them to grow in their knowledge of insects and their imitations while they are on the water! We believe that there is no better way to help people hold on to what they learn then by putting more fish in the net! Be sure to check out the Catch Log as well! This will allow you to keep track of details from each catch like weather, river flow and Temp, barometric pressure, insect hatch and imitation used. As you have more success on the water you will begin to see patterns of when and where you should fish based on these inputs! It has really taken my fishing game to the next level. “Free Trial”

Gave 3 stars because I can’t really tell how good it is. There’s no pricing listed on App Store which makes you think there’s a free version you can try that either is limited in function or simply becomes unusable after a trial period. However, there is no function at all unless you give them a credit card. I like to try things before I decide to expose my personal credit card information to yet another possible place where it could be hacked.

I have no idea what to do when it comes to picking flies and this app has been incredibly informative. Being able to just take a picture and have a list of suggestions pop up has been a game changer and will be a very valuable asset in my future. Overall very well thought out and it looks like this guy did a ton of research! Great app!
