I absolutely love this book tracking app; I had been searching for one where I had the ability to track books I’ve read (or listened to since I usually use audible) and make my own notes, thoughts, and synopsis for my own records that would be kept privately as to not spoil the books for anyone else. I had previously been using good reads, and I used their review system for my notes which felt uncomfortable because I would have to put at the very beginning that the below content was for my own records and not to be used as a regular review for deciding whether or not you would want to read the book and it contained a lot of spoilers along with needing to have finished the book to follow my notes.I found out about this app on Reddit and I love it so much! I recently started a new book that is a new release by a first time author that did not generate in the search engine, and I was thrilled to find out that I could manually input the book myself. It’s absolutely everything I want without anything that is forced upon or tedious. I am not very text savvy and I know that a lot of apps and electronic devices I own are not being used to their fullest extent and I loved how this app is user-friendly while also including additional features for anyone who is more thorough in their book tracking. One of my favorite apps of all time!!!

As I’ve grown older, I’ve realized that the way I read books has changed. I no longer solely care about my reading progress. I’ve come to learn to gain knowledge and or desire to have a deeper understanding of what I’m reading whether fiction or non-fiction. In order to ensure that I’m absorbing everything that I’m reading I’ve taken up annotating my books. However, I can’t bring myself to actually mark up my books and that’s why I love Bookopedia! I can annotate, take notes, type out any new vocabulary that I picked up from the books I’m reading, I can import/export my books across devices and from other apps, I can create flashcards from the vocabulary I’ve recorded in the app and so many other awesome features! I love that this app’s UI isn’t overwhelming either. This app is wonderful for anyone who finds the current apps on the market too focused on useless statistics and flashy. If you’re also looking for an app that isn’t heavily restricted behind a paywall, Bookopedia is also for you!

Dear Knee_nah,Thank you very much for your incredible review! It truly makes me happy and confirms my decision to offer a book app that prioritizes knowledge over rewards and achievements.I will continue to improve Bookopedia in the same direction (the next update is focused on characters).Happy New Year!Jerome
The only book tracker you need
Devmarie0214
I just downloaded this and started putting in all the info on my book I started reading and I am so geeked about it. I have a hard time remember characters names in my book and I’ve been searching for something to help with that but couldn’t find any apps that had a specific area for characters. This app does and it’s even better than I wanted! I looovveee that you can add relationships to other characters and especially the different types of relationships it offers since my book has a friend group with a specific name I can specify. Also love the fact that there’s a location tab you can put down locations for. This app is perfect for me since I easily forget things, I can finally keep track and hopefully help me better remember everything as I get further in the book to where I don’t need to check back as much. Hope more people find this app, it has everything you could want!

Greetings Devmarie,Thank you so much for your wonderful review! The shared details are valuable and will definitely help me shape the future updates, especially those related to characters. By the way, I have planned an update introducing widgets for the end of the month. Don’t hesitate to send an email if you want to share another feedback, a request or anything else ;)Best, Jerome
Import csv

Hope to support the import of csv files exported from the software calibre ebook management, and the corresponding title, author, tag, isbn, formats, comments publisher and other corresponding information can be imported. The relevant information of imported or manually entered books is incomplete. Whether the function can be added is to update the book Metadata information in the RLT in batches online.

Greetings dear reader,Thank you for your review!I appreciate your csv import suggestion. Would you mind sharing a sample of your csv so that I can use it as a basis for development? You can send an email from the app (Settings tab). Wishing you a great reading session,Jerome
Dear Bookopedians,
This update brings a major new feature for character management, along with several UI improvements and fixes. Here are the details:
- Character Groups
You can now organize your characters into groups: clans, families, teams, and more. Each group can be color-coded for quick identification, and you can label the role or membership of every character within it.
- Series Overview
Books belonging to the same series are now displayed directly in the Info section, giving you a clearer picture of your reading journey across a series.
- Quotes Linked to Books via ISBN
When importing quotes from a CSV file, you can now include an ISBN field to automatically link each quote to its corresponding book.
- Improved UI for iOS 26
The interface has been updated to take full advantage of iOS 26, including a redesigned menu that works significantly better on iPad.
- Improved Export/Import
The export and import process now correctly handles commas within authors, translators, tags, and similar fields.
As tradition goes, you can expect a few additional fixes and UX improvements.
Happy reading!
