Proximety is now bitte.help. New name, new brand, new face — and the same idea: one ask, and someone nearby helps. New in this version: • A clearer design throughout the app • A tidier helper list — see at a glance where a new message is waiting • A time on every message • Your request stays visible while you write • A new introduction on first launch

Your number is never shared without asking first — now including the first message you send, since that shares it too. Also in this update: • Unread markers count only the other person's messages, and clear when you leave a chat • Contacts you had already shared stay shared after updating • The same person now shows the same name on the card and in the chat • A request you just posted no longer briefly disappears from your feed • "I want to help" is easier to hit and can't be triggered twice by accident • Longer messages with emoji are no longer rejected • Errors when sharing or rating are shown instead of failing silently • Smoother scrolling in the feed on longer conversations

What's new - Whole feed cards and helper cards are now tappable — open requests and conversations without having to aim at the small arrow. - A reminder shows above the message field when sending a message will share your phone number. - "Their request" label on the thread banner when viewing someone else's request. - Expired conversations now show a clear end-of-conversation state instead of a stuck message field. - Help requests can now be up to 500 characters (was 140). - Messages can now be up to 500 characters, with a visible character counter. Improvements - Send errors now appear as a dialog with "Retry" / "Dismiss" instead of a toast that disappears. - Call errors now appear as a dialog instead of a toast. - Welcome card matches the design across platforms — bold "Proxy" with localized body. - A freshly created help request now shows "0 helpers →" with a tappable arrow. - "1 helper" / "2 helpers" plural forms now read correctly. - Long help-request banners are clipped to 3 lines so the message field stays usable. - French translations updated. Fixes - Message input no longer shrinks when the keyboard opens. - The "shared" status is now tracked per helper — sharing with one helper no longer turns all helper buttons green.

In-app messages — write to a helper or to the person who posted a request without leaving Proximety. Conversations live for 24 hours, just like the request. Helper list — when people offer to help, you'll see each one individually and can reply, call or rate them on their own card. Refreshed feed — clearer at a glance which requests are yours, which you're helping with, and which still need someone. Smaller fixes throughout: share and feedback buttons now reflect the current state across devices, karma updates right after you rate, and identity reveals (Private → Number → Name) work consistently.

The person asking for help immediately knows who you are, and you can reach each other directly.
