When social media first came on the scene, it promised connection and an easy way to keep in touch with those that mattered. After years of monetization though, it has become nothing more than another avenue for companies and influencers to pry away your valuable time and hard earned money. At the same time, there’s no easy way to fully disconnect, as we must play the game if we want a semblance of remaining in touch with friends who are spread out across the globe. Now we have that tool to help us disconnect! Elsewhere lets me check in on those I love, while not demanding 4 hours of doomscrolling from me. Thank you, Elsewhere! You guys have something special here, and I can’t wait to see where it goes.

Zuck better watch out, once he’s done frying everyone’s last brain cell and squeezing the life out of us all even he (and probably Musk too) will be in need of this app. It’s a monolith by comparison to all the familiar names. Everything you wish social media had been all along. I really hope this takes off because it would eliminate the polarization, stop the brainwashing, and just make it feel nice to interact with your friends again. Clean design, well thought out user interface, and no BS. The only agenda is not having one. *slow clap*

Elsewhere gives the average person the ability to authentically be themselves and utilize the way Social Media was intended to be. No popularity contest causing potential social anxiety but rather a safe place to be freely yourself and post whatever is important to you or makes you laugh. Thankful for Elsewhere to be able to get back to the roots of social media how it was intended to be… funny, welcoming, and free from ads. The app is a great medium for keeping up with friends and family. The casual nature encourages posting and engaging, keeping me checking back. Looking forward to more feature rollouts
