Comment Actions You can now like, reply, boost, and tip directly on comments — matching the full web experience. - Like comments to show appreciation. Tap the heart icon to like; tap again to unlike. Counts update instantly. - Reply to comments with an inline composer. Tap Reply on any top-level comment to open a text input right below it. Submit your reply and it appears immediately as a nested response. - Boost comments to give them extra visibility. Choose between a 1-hour boost (35P) or a 2-hour boost (50P) to highlight the best contributions. - Tip comment authors to reward great takes. Tap Tip to send Poins directly to another reader. Disabled on your own comments because you're already great. Nested Replies Replies now render directly beneath their parent comment with a visual indent and left border, making threaded conversations easy to follow. Reply buttons are hidden on nested comments to keep threads clean and focused. Faster Comment Posting New comments now appear instantly after posting. Previously, comment creation was asynchronous, which could cause a brief delay before your comment showed up. Now the server confirms and returns your comment immediately, so it appears in the thread the moment you tap submit. Guest Experience All social action buttons (Reply, Like, Boost, Tip) are visible to guests but gracefully disabled. Tapping any action as a guest shows a friendly prompt to sign up, so new users always know what they're missing. Quality of Life - Comment like counts display next to the heart icon when greater than zero. - Boosted comments show a filled lightning bolt icon for quick visual identification. - The Tip modal pre-fills with the comment author's username for a seamless tipping flow. - Reply count increments automatically when you post a reply, keeping the article's comment count accurate without a refresh.
