I’ve been using the Dola AI Reminders & Calendar on WhatsApp for about six months, and honestly, it’s brilliant. This app is a lifesaver for keeping tabs on everything from family get-togethers to meetings with clients. It’s super handy—Dola never misses a beat and always pings me right when I need it. And now that it’s on iOS, the experience is even smoother. Love the easy chats and the crisp, clean calendar view. Big shoutout to the Dola AI team—y’all nailed it! Totally a five-star app, no question.
Removal of text feature (poor choice) & now subscription fee

They are removing their text message feature, which while not perfect was super helpful and forcing use of the app. Being able to add to the cal in text is honestly a game changer IMO bc everyone is so used to texting. Secondly, with this change of forcing the app, they are limiting the events to 14/month which I think is crazy. Anyone who needs calendar helper, is probably scheduling a massive amount of things. We have 5 in our family so that’s just over 3 events a month per person. We could probably do with the first paid leave of 50, but paying 40-65$ per year for that is just bananas. Also, they use reminders as an incentive feature, but the calendars it links up to has reminders. So idk who that is appealing to. I think a better plan would be to price on other features, like quantifying AI reading images (so cool!) and all versions should have basic calendar inputs as unlimited, free or small lifetime fee. Advanced features for less than the amount they are charging now. All of this means we will likely stop using the app, or use our free 14 until we can find something more helpful.

The Quota: The free plan actually includes 14 events per week, not per month. This weekly refresh should give you much more space.2. Texting: You can still type/text naturally inside the app to add events instantly, just like texting. We kept this flow because we know how helpful it is.We truly appreciate your suggestions on our pricing and features. We are listening and working hard to make the app better!

This app is simple but very impactful. Now I don’t have to stress about whether or not I’ve added something to the shared calendar, I just send a screenshot and it automatically puts it on there plus use my voice to text to indicate when I want reminders as well! 5 stars!
Doesn’t do anything useful

It doesn’t export the events you make with it to Google or Apple calendar, you would have to do that manually, which is the whole thing I’m trying to avoid. It doesn’t parse or make any useful suggestions based on the calendar info you give it. All it does is make facsimiles of events that only exist in its own chat, based on audio transcription of you describing the event you want in great detail. In that time, you could have made your own event in your real calendar.
