New Feature: Events We're excited to introduce Events, a powerful new feature designed to make getting to and from events easier, smarter, and more connected. What's New? Group Administrators can now create Events within their Groups, giving members a dedicated space to coordinate travel and connect with other attendees. Whether you're organising a community gathering, sports match, school event, conference, festival, or workplace function, Events help bring people together before they even arrive. Key Features Create Events Within Groups Group administrators can now create and manage Events directly from their existing Groups. Public or Private Events Choose the visibility that best suits your event: Public Events – Discoverable and accessible to a wider audience. Private Events – Restricted to invited participants and approved attendees. Coordinate Travel with Fellow Attendees Events create a focused environment where attendees can arrange shared journeys to and from the event, helping reduce parking pressure, traffic congestion, travel costs, and environmental impact. Share Events with QR Codes Inviting people to an Event is simple. Each Event generates a unique QR code that can be shared across: Posters and signage Social media Email invitations Printed materials Community noticeboards Guests can scan the QR code using the Carpoolin app to instantly access the Event. Why We Built Events Events are often one of the biggest opportunities for carpooling. By creating a dedicated space around a specific occasion, attendees can easily find others travelling from similar locations and coordinate shared journeys.
