Mote turns your iPhone into a private voice recorder with on-device transcription. Record on iPhone or an optional paired Apple Watch, keep audio and transcripts on your device, and share only when you choose.

Requires iOS 17 or later. On iOS 17–18, transcription runs in the foreground and pauses when you leave or lock the app. On iOS 26 or later, fast transcription can request continued background processing; availability is controlled by iOS. High-quality transcription requires the foreground on all supported versions. Recognition and speaker labels may contain errors.
This version replaces the previous knowledge-base experience with recording and local transcription.
