The ad said unlimited free reading. So I got interested in a story and then I downloaded the app. Today I could not finds any ads available and it costs $15 for 1500 coins. It takes 199 coins to open each chapter. The book I was interested in has 53 chapters And while the first four chapters were free, the remaining 49 chapters would cost $2 per chapter, which would cost $98 for me to finish this book.Update: I found the ads on Day 2 and after watching over 10 ads was able to read the next chapter.

As much as I would love to talk about the stories and how good they are, I can’t. Why? Because I can’t read them. Why can’t I read them? Because even after watching almost every bonus ad and joining a Facebook group and turning on my notifications, I still don’t have enough coins to read one extra chapter. I even gave a 5-Star review (which I have now changed) in order to get as many of the bonus coins that I can.199 coins to unlock one chapter??? And I get less than 100 from the bonuses? I rarely write reviews but come on dude. That’s just a scam at this point. I get the marketing but it needs to be more attainable and done more reasonably. Because I’ve had the app downloaded for 20 minutes and I’m already prepared to delete it. What good is getting attached to a story if you can’t read more than five chapters? Those five chapters being the same ones in the ad that made me download it, might I add. Are you only targeting people who have nothing but money and time??? Other people might want to read your stories too, you know.

This app is the worst app of the many reading apps I have used. It is deceptive and designed to deduct your coins without opening the chapters you paid for and the VIP assistant has tons of reasons why the app does this deceptive practice and tells you thank you for understanding (that you were just robbed) without actually giving you a refund or opening the already paid for chapters to make things right. There are too many other honest apps out there to waste your time or money on this one unless you like being robbed. Plus they have a pop up asking if their chapters of 199 coins each to unlock is too expensive (as if they don’t already know that it is).

The stories I saw were mostly good but the way the app works means you have to spend money and not a tiny amount for each chapter. I’ll be sticking to the apps that don’t charge so much per chapter, have bonuses that actually allow you to read a chapter every few days or even 2-3 times a day by watching ads or other activities. You don’t even have the books you paid to read if the app malfunctions or your tablet/phone/pc breaks down. The cost is far too high. I won’t pay that much for a hardcover edition of my favorite authors so why spend that much for something that can instantly disappear. I love to read but I need food and housing. Not worth the cost.
