Great App with Broken Zoom Button

So much to like here, but still some jank sadly. If that was fixed this would be the EASY first choice for a Jellyfin client. ~~CONS~~Most glaring is the zoom button… it does nothing right now. Big downer when you have a widescreen film that would like perfect filling out the entire iPhone screen. As of now, they’re stuck with black bars on top AND the side.Also, details in the UI could use some modernization. -Text on bottom bar navigation would look better with a lighter weight. Current weight is reminiscent of early iPhone (late 2000s) boldness, when the screens had lower PPI. Nitpicky, but has an effect on perception of polish.-The purple accent of the app is… a bit garish. The option to customize it, or at the very least adopt the Jellyfin blue would be very welcome.~~PROS~~-Best Jellyfin player out of all options, by far! •Transcoding quality selecter built in, changes qualities quickly. •Media load faster than swiftfin or jellyfin official. •Big, obvious, intuitive buttons. No little itty bitty buttons from the Jellyfin web player presented in an app. •Trickplay works very well-Great details presentation, no other app shows bitrate in a clear spot. Why???TL/DR; Super close! Just fix player zoom button, modernize a few UI elements, let us change the purple. Thanks for all the work that went into this!

Downloads need work

I appreciate this app as an alternative to the barely-there download feature in the official Jellyfin app. I only used Streamyfin for downloading, and there are several serious bugs there. I’m sure they will be fixed soon, but just reviewing them here since they eventually completely blocked me from using the app when I was on the go. The download process itself is smooth and allows you to set your own bitrate which is great. Subtitles are only baked in, there’s no option for using a separate subtitle track - maybe an iOS player limitation? The problems begin when playing back content. If you exit a video partway through and then try to seek to the same spot again, the app gets stuck and hangs for minutes or forever. Clicking through the download menus takes very long to load the next page. And if you download too many videos, you are completely blocked from playing one because the app becomes unable to handle playing any of the downloaded videos. Thanks to the developers for providing this app, I hope to revisit it someday when the download feature is more stable.

Great design but plagued by bugs

The app is very well designed and easily my preferred iOS client, but unfortunately it has constant bugs most prevalent being freezing constantly when browsing libraries. Almost anytime i’m browsing I will have to restart the app because it inevitably freezes. Other common bugs I’ve experienced are media not loading even on local network (other device clients will load perfectly), the client failing to report the correct hardware causing the video to be transcoded instead of direct playing half the time (client will sometimes report no HDR support on my OLED iPhone), and some buttons being unresponsive even when the rest of the UI is not frozen (mainly the seasons button when viewing a show I’ve noticed). Overall there isn’t a better client for iOS that I could recommend as each has their own problems and limitations, but it would be a lie to say the issues with this app aren’t very irritating sometimes.
