Lost my Bangkok bank ATM card and finally got a replacement. surprised to find out that I cannot re-add my new debit card to use directly with TrueMoney anymore. probably Bangkok Bank’s fault, but still please try to get them to allow non-Thais to put in their passport number as before. Thank you!

Straight up doesn’t work

There are so many issues with this app and I have yet to get it to work even after several weeks of trying. When I tried signing up, it did not work and just gave an error message but no explanation about why it didn’t work. Finally a few days later it did work and I registered. I got the SMS to go and set up my PIN, but when I signed into the app it just asked me to set a password and not a PIN. Then I tried to top up money at 7-11 but it said I had no pin so I had to scan my face. I tried several times and it just returned an error every time. Finally a day later I tried again and it worked. After that I loaded money at 7-11 but when I tried to pay at a store with TrueMoneu it said that the payment feature was not unlocked and that I had to upload more documents. Then I tried logging on later to upload the documents but got ANOTHER error message saying that the service is unavailable!!! Truly an awful app!
Misleading and questionable practices with foreigner personal documents

This app is absolutely useless. If you’re a foreigner without a local residence or work permit, don’t even bother wasting your time. After going through registration and approval, you’ll find out you can’t even use the app. From a legal standpoint, I’m not sure if it’s even acceptable to collect passport copies from foreigners only to block them from using the service afterward. This should be clearly stated before registration, not after users have submitted their personal documents. I’ll be reporting this app to the Apple Store for further investigation to see how it was even approved. To me, this feels more like a scheme to collect passport data rather than a legitimate service provider. Can you imagine how many foreigner passport copies PRIVATE company collect through the years

Unreliable for foreigners

I’ve had to submit and verify my passport multiple times. Even after being successfully verified and using the service for about a year, I was asked to submit my passport again. More recently, after not using the app for around six months, I opened it and was essentially asked to go through the verification process again.This makes the service feel very unreliable for foreign users. My biggest concern is that access could suddenly be restricted while there is still money in the wallet. Having to repeatedly submit sensitive passport information is also frustrating.Because of this uncertainty, I would not recommend keeping a significant balance in this wallet or relying on it as your main payment method.
