You want it to play small. That is all. But making a small video is usually hard work: learn an editing app, dig through export settings, and then social media stretches it back up anyway.
Shy Video does it right away. Pick a video, pinch it smaller, save. Once you know it, under a minute.
Your video is placed small inside a canvas and turned into one new video. What social media stretches is the canvas, not your video, so your footage plays small and stays sharp.

THREE STEPS
1. Pick a video, or record one on the spot
2. Set its position and size on the canvas, then tap Next
3. Adjust it as you like, and save
To check fine details, pinch with two fingers or zoom up to 3x with the buttons at the lower right.
PLACEMENT
Your video lands on the canvas at 50% size, centered, and plays right there, so you can judge the result as you work.
- Drag to position it. It never leaves the canvas
- Pinch to resize, from 10% to 100%
- Canvas ratios 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 and 3:4
- Background: black, white, gray, pink, light blue, or any color you pick
- Mirror horizontally or vertically, and rotate in 15 degree steps
- Recenter resets position, size and rotation at once
FOUR TOOLS BEFORE YOU EXPORT
TRIM
Drag the handles at each end of a filmstrip to keep only the part you want. Nothing is rejected for being too long. The selected range loops as you drag, so you see where it starts and ends.
WATERMARK
Add your name or social handle to discourage reposting. Adjust size and opacity, and drag it anywhere, or tile it across the canvas. A mark in a corner can be cropped away; a tiled one cannot.
ADJUST
Set brightness, contrast and warmth while the video plays. Volume is on the same panel; set it to zero for a silent video.
COMPRESS
No bitrates to decode. Choose where the video is going: email, social apps, or keep the quality. The estimated file size appears the moment you choose, so you never find out it was too big after sending.
SAVING AND SHARING
Save puts the finished video straight into Photos. Long press Save for Files or iCloud Drive instead. Share hands it over through the iOS share sheet: AirDrop, Mail, Messages and more. Exporting takes a little time; the progress is shown on screen.
YOUR ORIGINAL IS NEVER TOUCHED, AND NOTHING IS UPLOADED
No tool modifies your original video. Every export writes a new file, so if you do not like the result, the original is still where it was.
Your video never leaves this device. Everything happens locally, with no upload and no conversion server. No account, no sign in, and it works in airplane mode.
JAPANESE AND ENGLISH, IPHONE AND IPAD, DARK MODE
The app follows your device language, Japanese or English, and runs on iPhone and iPad. On iPad the controls sit toward the center, within reach. Dark mode is supported.

Placement, trim, watermark, adjust, compress and saving are all free. A single payment unlocks four more things. No subscription, nothing renews.

A NEW LOOK
An iridescent background, a pearl-studded frame, and scattered stars and hearts. Not just the opening screen: placement, editing, settings and About all share the same feel now.
The white bar at the top is gone, so the screen runs from top to bottom in one piece. "Choose video" is a glossy pill, and "Record" is a cloud-shaped button.
SAVE NOW GOES TO PHOTOS
It used to open the Files app. Save now puts the video straight into Photos, with a short notice so you know it worked.
Long press Save to choose Files or iCloud Drive instead.
