Find-out
The more I use this application the more I like it. However, in the beginning, I was quite disappointed at the limited number of “useful” symbols there are in the library. To be fair, I am not an electronics kind of person and there are many symbols in the library. I simply wanted a way to create primitive AUTOMOTIVE wiring diagrams to express some pretty simple ideas. Looking at diagrams from people that actually are electronic savvy, mine are very primitive, but the symbol choices in the library did not help me much with my particular projects. I have completed quite a few projects with this program and have become considerably more efficient at drawing my own versions of simple relays, connector housings, motors, even primitive, but effective, sketches of mechanical projects. I like that I can copy items I created from different layer within the same project file, or even from one project file to a different project file, reusing common components. One feature I really like is the ability to group components together so when you relocate the “assembly” to a different place on the drawing (or to another layer or project file) all of the components stay in the same relationship to each other as they were originally drawn. You can break the dependancy temporarly to modify individual components them re-group them when finished with the edit. :)I have tried to save some of my own “created symbols” in the symbol library but I find them cumbersome when I want to change their size in later drawings. My original disappointment has dissipated as my skill level and familiarity with this program has improved.

Once you get the hang of it, it works well. There are still some 'gotchas' that need to be addressed. Selecting a simple wire, goes out to 45 degrees?? Sometimes when selecting the 90 degree wire tool, it auto-routes, to places you don't want it to go. The connection dot is too big, but can be made smaller. Not everything snaps to the grid. Lastly and maybe I missed it, have to go back an forth to the line selecting each time you make a connection...time consumming
Use for A/V Diagrams & Layouts

This is actually a pretty go-to app for me these days. I have Vectorworks for all my serious work, but when I just need to make quick and simple diagrams and layouts, this serves that purpose just fine. Took a while to make all the custom objects since I couldn't import but wasn't so bad. Sometimes handles things in odd ways but I haven't seen any app like this that does things perfectly. All in all, I would definitely recommend it. Would be cool to see some more development on it and new features.
A great circuit diagramming tool!

We are constantly designing protoype circuits for our projects, and this tool has made it simple for us to document our designs quickly and efficiently. The only things keeping me from giving this 5 stars is the lack of standard OSX style selection, copy-past-formatting, and easy-whol-line-selection (segment) only oddities. This is agreat app and I hoep it continues to improve!
