I typically don’t write or leave reviews but for this game I have to. I first played it in high school like 8ish years ago. I’ve always wanted to see it get updated and back on the App Store. I remember emailing the studio one summer asking if it’ll ever be back. I’m grateful and glad I got to play it, even if it was just for an hour. The game is just as addictive and great as I remember it. It could use some updates and modern love but the core gameplay is still 5 stars. My whole issue is with halfbrick…. Why lock it behind the premium subscription. So much in the world is already subscription based and adding this to it is outrageous. I know 3 dollars isn’t a large sum but every month on top of all the other subscription services as person has really adds up. I would have been totally fine if the game was like 2.99$ and a one time fee. Please just let us buy and have the full game. If they ever listen or make this change then I’ll change this to a 5 star review and update my review.

I played this game a while back and found it on a whim again. Immediately I remembered it and got excited to play it, but saw you could only play it for 60 minutes before having a monthly payment of $3. This is really the only half brick game I am playing right now and a monthly subscription does not make me want to venture more into the developments other games, get excited, and then see the same paywall. I understand money needs to be made especially if you’re adding to the game but this is literally the same game I played back when it was free. The only changes have been bug fixes, nothing else added. If half brick wants to have a monthly subscription for some of their games by all means they can do what they want, but it doesn’t make sense to have it on a game that hasn’t changed in the past 5 years that was originally free. I’m essentially choosing to either pay almost $36 a year for this game (and the other half brick games) or play none of them. I’ll choose the latter

To say I was overjoyed to find that nimble quest was back would be a huge understatement. I loved the game when I was younger and used to play it all the time so I was super happy to see that Halfbrick had revived it and I could play again. However, this happiness was very short lived. I was extremely disappointed once I opened the app and realized that I would have to pay a monthly subscription in order to have access to a game which once used to be free. Now I understand companies need money to maintain apps but having to pay $30-$36 a year just to have access to this app(which is the only Halfbrick+ app I care about) is insane. I would be willing to pay a on-time fee to purchase the app but I just can’t justify the subscription system especially for an app that was free before. It’s really sad to see that this is what nimble quest has come to after waiting for its return for so long.

Half brick, you guys made fruit ninja and jetpack joyride to name a few, two absolutely legendary cult classic video games that still have massive followings. I remember playing the “lite” versions of those two games along with nimble quest and BEGGING my parents to pay the $3 for the full game. Now I come back after over a decade to relive some of the nostalgia I had playing nimble quest, only to see you participating in the corporate overlord “you will own nothing and be happy” subscription slip trend. Really, halfbrick? One hour of free play time of a game that came out over a decade ago? You’re not my mom. Just bring back the lnetime$3 purchase. Heck, I’d pay eight bucks for this game. I just want to own it and not have to scramble to cancel yet another subscription that I’d forget about. It’s absolute pathetic seeing you tout your old reputation to try and desperately get people to subscribe to play ancient games that you made. Honestly revolving.
