I really do like playing this game. I’m pretty good at being a ftp player with a lot of apps, but this one probably has got to be the MOST frustrating one. If you’re going to give players a level where you give them an opportunity to get coins and items, then that level should be made in a way that can be solved WITHOUT the excessive use of coins and tools. Extra boxes should already be available. You guys are so close yet so far in having a good app. You have way too many ads, and then you start taking away free options in higher levels. This game has so much potential to be a good brain scratcher if it wasn’t such a mess with of how much money grabbing and ads are shoved in your face…

I love the concept of this game. I have one other app that’s like this game (CubeOut 3D), and it’s really entertaining and satisfying to complete. The concept is great but the execution of Screw Tap Jam can only be described as rigged. The issue is, almost every time I play this game, I feel as though it sets you up for failure. It gives you boxes of colors that you just had and would be impossible to give more of, which forces you to use ALL the coins you have until you’re stuck watching ads for every single color just to complete the game. It takes all the fun out of it and makes me extremely frustrated and upset. Worst part is that it even happens on the levels that shouldn’t be considered “hard” (level 59 as an example). I’d accept it more if they rotated through all the colors consistently but this game forces me to come up with the same three or four colors back to back to back and they’re all the colors buried deep in and unable to get to. Not every level is like this, but 9 out of 10 levels I find myself cursing the creators and contemplate deleting the app once and for all. I LOVE a good challenge on this type of game. But when it feels like the app is purposely making it not only absurdly difficult but also impossible to complete without 20+ magnets, I just can’t get on board with it. Makes it seem like they only want my money. Nope, I refuse to spend money on this app. It’ll all go to waste within 1-3 levels anyway. I downloaded this game because of the ratings. I don’t understand how it got a 4.9! To each their own. I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone lest they blame me for their ever increasing bad mood caused by playing this game.

Ok so, the developers “listened to player feedback” about how much we hated the ridiculously long ads in order to get boosters, which are necessary because the levels are almost always unbeatable without them, and completely removed them. Now, you have to use coins, for which you need to pay real money. And their response has been “players are divided on ads and we’re trying to find a balance.” Lol. No, they’re not. Players are sick of being fleeced. Period. The devs could’ve reduced the length of the ads to be way more reasonable. They could have made it so 90% of levels aren’t completely unbeatable without boosters. What they’re really saying is, “we need to do whatever we need to do to make more money. Your experience only matters if enough people stop playing/paying, but as long as the status quo is making us money, your experience doesn’t matter.” I get that apps are a business and a lot of work goes into making and maintaining them, but if a game is impossible to play without shelling out money every time you want to play it, you’re not just trying to make money to turn a reasonable profit, you’re trying to buy another lambo or beachfront property. Check yourselves.

Decent graphics, game is correctly responsive to taps and overall seems to work well. Unfortunately, even tho it is a 3D game there is only a left to right axis so you cannot see all the way around the object. I find it more enjoyable to play the object from all angles. As far as being able to play without purchasing or watching ads — there is no way to do this— which leads me to not recommend this game. You should be able to get thru a level without a purchase/ad. A good game will have a way to make it thru every level if you make the correct choices, and sell tools/upgrades to make the game easier.As far as this game goes, you will need to watch an ad on every level to get what you need to pass, but there are no pop-ups. Strangely, there is a “no pop-up ads” store item for $5.99. I’m really confused by what that entails since I haven’t seen a pop-up ad. Other shop items are all things which will be quickly consumed and the price for the small amount given means you will spend a lot in short order.Unfortunately, devs are focused on making a quick buck. I will keep my eye out for one of these that focuses instead on long-term customer retention. I’m hoping to find a screw game that offers an “extra tile” subscription.Tl;dr: this is a standard screw game with decent graphics and feel, but would be more fun if you were able to spin the object in any direction. You’ll enjoy the first 5 levels or so, but you’ll quickly tire of the constant money grabs, which sap the joy from the game fairly fast.
