Terrain shading is now your choice. Maps with terrain relief (hillshade) can be very large — often bigger than the map itself. When you download one of these maps, you can now pick "Map only" or "With hillshade," and you'll see exactly what each option costs before you commit. Changed your mind? On any downloaded map you can add hillshade later, or remove it to free up the space, without re-downloading the map. Also in this release: • Fixed maps sometimes appearing flat in the Radar even though terrain shading had been downloaded • Fixed the Pause and Stop buttons not responding on map downloads • Fixed a map occasionally appearing stuck at "downloading" when it wasn't • Interrupted terrain downloads now resume on their own and tell you if something went wrong, instead of failing silently

New: Terrain shading on maps Some regions now show hillshade/elevation terrain shading under the map (currently Japan — Mount Fuji HQ and Kanto). Please test: - Download Mount Fuji HQ and/or Kanto from the map download screen — the download progress should cover the full download (map + terrain) and only show "Downloaded" once it's fully ready. - Open the map for that region and confirm you see shaded terrain/elevation relief on the map. - Zoom in and out repeatedly, including all the way in to street level and back out — terrain should stay visible and consistent, never flash back to a flat map or wash out/disappear at any zoom level. - Check regions without terrain still look and work exactly as before. New: Old downloaded maps you can clean up If a map you previously downloaded is no longer offered (removed from the map list), it now shows up on the download screen marked "No longer available" with a Delete option, instead of just disappearing. If you have any old downloads, check that they show up correctly and can be deleted to free up space. Fixes - Fixed terrain shading sometimes reverting to a flat map while zooming, then correcting itself later. - Fixed terrain occasionally failing to download or update correctly for maps downloaded before this update. - Download size shown for each map now reflects the full download size (including terrain, where applicable).
