Way better on the ads and not interrupting the info we’re trying to get every time you log in as well as the ability to add videos. However, not being able to keep the in-game updates of timekeeping and chat feature of live games is lacking. It would also be great to have the ability to see parents contact information or player profile pictures. It’s always great putting faces to names when you forget them or are on a new team.

This “upgraded” app got rid of all the features I found useful in the original teamsnap app. I can no longer see player contact information easily without clicking to call someone or send an email. You can no longer send a group email through the app. While the chat is nice it’s not always efficient for some messages. I can no longer view and sync each team individually on the calendar. This is very inconvenient when having multiple kids playing multiple sports. You can no longer enter games or even see teams on a computer which means everything has to be done through the mobile app. This makes it take significantly longer to enter a full season’s worth of games and practices. The more I use the app the less I like it which is why I’m choosing to use a different app even though my club uses teamsnap one. Even free apps are better than this paid one.

After a decade of using TeamSnap as a head coach to help manage and communicate, TeamSnap One is a major step backwards.The platform appears to prioritize organization-level administration while completely overlooking the day-to-day needs of coaches. From a coaching standpoint, I cannot point to a single feature that is better than the previous version, and several core functions have been removed entirely.The most frustrating issues identified so far:No web-based portalEliminating the desktop experience is a huge mistake. Coaches rely on it to efficiently upload and manage folders that include practice plans, shot sheets, and team systems documents, etc. Forcing everything through a mobile app is unnecessarily limiting and inefficient.No team email functionalityRemoving team email is another major miss. Chat is fine for quick messages, but it is not a replacement for structured, professional communication. Email is essential for sharing detailed updates, attachments, and important team information in an organized way.Overall, this feels like a downgrade in usability and functionality. Unless these basic features are restored, it is hard to see how this version meets the needs of coaches.

Overall this looks cleaner than Team Snap, but all of the best functionality that made TS my preferred youth sports app were eliminated.The game clock was eliminated from the live game feature, in addition to the live event chat. Many parents relied on the in app game clock during games. It was also much easier to track game progress from afar.The calendar function is worse than before, too. The only way to get updates to my personal calendar that my family uses for organization is to subscribe. However this is incredibly slow to update, if at all. I also do not have the option to add indicated events to my calendar anymore, which is helpful for quicker updates when schedules change.Less impactful, but noticeable this year, as we have a largely new team, is the roster. No more pictures to help learn who is who, in addition to no visible parent contact information if I want to connect with another parent outside of the app. I absolutely prefer the old app to this one.
