When I first downloaded the app, I immediately loved the design, stats, and excitement of hatching my first eggs. As I’ve used it more, I’ve been really impressed by how thoughtfully it was created. More beasts are unlocked if you maintain a streak of reaching your step goal, but you can opt to use a “lazy day” to keep your streak if you miss your goal after 5 days of making it. It’s a great system to help you stay motivated without the pressure of being perfect. There’s so much attention to detail in this app and it’s been such a pleasure to use!

You cannot imagine how happy this review made me. Thank you so much! I put a lot of thought into every part of the app and I use it myself every single day, so there truly is a lot of attention to detail behind it. It means a lot that you can feel that. I’m also really glad the motivation system works for you without adding pressure.By the way, 30 new Beasts and even more love to detail are coming on Friday, 20th February. Stay tuned and keep on walking!Best,Malte
Love!

I haven’t really played the app yet, but I had an issue when I first downloaded and subscribed, and Malte was very quick to diagnose and fix the issue! He’s a solo developer and this app is such a labor of love for them. If you have any issues, be sure to email them so they are aware. This kind of response to feedback makes me love this cute little app even more. 💜
Favorite step tracker of all time!
violetsingreen
My favorite step tracking app. Beautiful art, great step and distance statistics summaries, super-cute creatures. I found it off a Reddit search, of all places, when Strava wouldn’t record my steps in an airport. No affiliation with the creator or anything. Can’t recommend it enough. I’m shocked that it doesn’t have more downloads.
How can you resist a cute beast?!
Steppingwithkids
This app has changed the way I look at getting my steps in. Remember in the 90s all the tamagotchis we had to take care of? It’s like that but way easier and also way better for my body! My kids and I have been excitedly walking every day in hopes of hatching another cutie. A must have app!!
Developer Response
This is such a lovely review, thank you so much! I love that you and your kids are walking together to hatch new Beasts. That’s exactly the kind of joy and motivation I hoped the app would create. Thanks for sharing this and for being part of Steps & Beasts!Best,Malte
Fixes an issue where some users couldn’t start Journey.
Thanks for walking with me
