Kelly’s love of movement began at an early age. She started her first dance lesson at the age of 3 and continued on until she graduated from High School. In that time, she performed in The Nutcracker Ballet for 4 consecutive years with Long Island Ballet Center, under the direction of Deborah Punzai. She also danced with June Claire and attended Summer Dance camps.
Kelly graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She spent her sophomore year studying abroad in Florence, Italy and in her Senior year she was granted a Full Academic Scholarship, rewarded by Federated Department Stores due to her high GPA.
After spending several years in the Corporate World, with companies like Giorgio Armani and BlackRock Finance she realized something was missing. She felt empty inside and was completely burnt out from working long hours in an office. She realized she was not living her purpose. In 2007, she took her final bonus from BlackRock and signed up for Stott Pilates Intensive Teacher Training Program. She has not looked back since.
Since that time Kelly has worked all over New York and California. Her real, deep training as a teacher began when she worked side by side a top Physical Therapist in Beverly Hills. He used Pilates to rehabilitate all of his patients post-surgery and Kelly got to be there every step of the way. She continues to use this knowledge in her teaching today. Additionally, Kelly has worked with Doctors in Chiropractic offices, with massage therapists, and in countless gyms such as Equinox, New York Sports Club and Golds Gym. She also got to experience working in Private Pilates studios over the years. In 2015, Kelly opened her own studio, Kelly Om Pilates and Wellness. In the summer of 2016, Kelly attended an Industry Acclaimed Workshop
